Unit 7 Its raining!Section B 1 (1a-1e) 一、教学目标: 1. 通过呈现和练习能正确使用以下单词:dry, cold, hot, warm,sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy, windy表达天气。 2. 通过听力和对话练习能正确使用以下句型谈论天气,近况及活动: Hows it going? Great!/Not bad./Terrible. Hows the weather? Its rainy/snowy/sunny/cold/hot. What are you doing? Im having a party.3. 通过合作交流学习,关注天气变化,关心亲人朋友。二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 继续学习有关天气的词汇,运用所学的词汇来描述天气。2) 描述在不同的天气情况中人们正在做的事情。2. 教学难点 1) 进行听力训练,提高学生的听力。 2) 进行小组活动,在不同语境中学会使用目标语言进行交谈。3、 学情分析1. 学生能够运用基本的目标语句进行问答,但是缺乏在不同语境中灵活运用的 能力,需要老师引导学生,培养学生。2. 学生的基础较差,词汇量缺乏,导致在小组活动中所谈论的话题比较受限制。四、教学过程. Lead-in Play a song“How is the weather?” Let students listen to it and sing along. 设计意图:通过歌曲导入,调动学生的积极性,让学生开口跟唱,自然融入 课堂。.RevisionTalk about the weather. Teacher : Hows the weather today?Students: Its sunny.Then present some pictures about weather and review the weather. Choose several students to answer the questions. S: Hows the weather? T: Its cloudy. S: Hows the weather?T: Its snowy. Its snowing now.设计意图:通过free talk 谈论今天的天气,然后引出图片,对之前学过的天气表达进行复习。. Presentation1. Show some pictures on the big screen. Present the new words. dry, cold, hot, warm 2. Ss learn the new words and expressions and try to understand the expressions. 3. Give Students some time and try to remember the new words and expressions. 4. Play a check game. “Quick eyes”. The teacher presents a picture and students say out the word as quickly as possible. 设计意图:单词学完后,用一个检测小游戏来检测学生的单词,当堂学习 当堂反馈,同时游戏的形式提高学生课堂参与度。. Matching 1. Read the words in the box in 1a. Then look at the pictures. Match the words with the pictures. Ss match the words with the picture. 1. _ dry 3. _ cool 5. _ hot 2. _ cold 4. _ warm2. Check the answers. Let some pairs ask and answer questions about the weather in the pictures in 1a. Give an example to the Students. Hows weather in picture a?Its cold. Ask some pairs to ask and answer about the questions. 设计意图:以pair work 的形式校对答案,使学生在句子中多运用新单词。 . Listening 1 Present a picture of Mary. Play a short video. Work on 1c: 1. Read the chart in 1c. Hows it going? MaryEricgreat2. Play the tape for the Ss to listen and write what Mary and Eric answer to Hows it going?. Students listen and write down the words in the blanks. Key: not badVI. Listening 2Work on 1d: 1. Listen again. What does Eric answer to What are you doing? & Hows the weather? What are you doing?Hows the weather?MaryEric2. Play the recording . Students listen and write down the words in the blanks. Tell students if the answer is too long, just write down the first letter of the word. Then complete the answer.3. Check the answers. Role-play a conversation between Mary and Eric. Let students work in pairs. Give students 2 minutes and then some pairs share their conversations. Mary: Hi! Eric? Hows it going? Eric: Mary: What are you doing? Eric: Mary: Hows the weather there? Eric: Eric: What about you? Hows it going with you? Mary: 设计意图:让学生练习听力材料的内容,以对话形式进行角色扮演,提高 学生的口语表达能力。 VIII. Lucky game Present 6 red pockets. Let students choose the number and open it. There are some exercises and a gift in these red pockets. If the student chooses the lucky number, he or she will receive a gift. 设计意图:用幸运红包游戏进行习题训练,提升课堂的趣味性,也激发学生 的学习兴趣,寓教于乐,达到较好的课堂效果。 IX. Group workDo a video chat(视频聊天) with your three friends who are in different places. Let students work in groups. Students can talk about the weather, their lives, activities and so on. Give students 5 minutes to prepare their show. Then several groups share their shows in the front of the classroom.After that, present the weather forecast.T: It will be rainy tomorrow and the temperature will drop a lot. So remember to wear more clothes and take your umbrellas, OK?Tell students to pay attention to the weather forecast, contact(联系) with friends and care about(关心) them.设计意图:以视频通话的形式让学生训练语言的综合运用能力,不仅运用这节课所学内容,学生还可以结合之前学习进行编排对话,提高学生的口语表达能力,也促使学生在小组活动中做到互相关心,无形中达成情感目标。X.
