How does he get to school? How long does it take?”Let the students be able to answer the questions above.(2)To study the new words “take, subway, train, ”etc. by learning the conversation of this lesson.b. Ability aims(1) To develop the students abilities of listening ,speaking ,reading and writing.(2) To train the students ability of working in pairs.(3) To develop the students abilities of communication by learning the useful structures.c. Emotion aims(1) To enable the students to work with others and help each other.(2) To make sure the students can obey the traffic rules every day.II . Teaching emphasis and difficulties(1) To help the students to communicate with each other.(2) To enable the students to study in groups and co-operate skillfully.(3) Distinguish the use of “take”.III. Teaching proceduresStep 1 Warm-up/ Lead-inFree talk between the students: What are you doing this Sunday? What is he doing tomorrow ? In this course, Ill ask them to make a conversations group by group, find out which group makes the best conversations. (强化交际能力,检查复习学过的知识)Step 2 Presentation1.Let the students look at the pictures on the screen and answer the following questions: What is the girl doing? Does she often ride a bike to get to school? How do you get to school? I will help the students to answer like this :“take the subway, take the train”.2.Play a guessing game. How does heshe get to work? This part, I will let them have a competition. After the competition, I will give the winners a smiling face and give the other group a crying face. (通过多媒体屏幕向学生展示所学单词,图文并茂,非常直观地向学生展示了新单词。简单的单词游戏既调动了学生的学习积极性又强化了单词记忆。)3.Ask the students to complete 1a, then check the answers with them.Step 3 listening Before I play 1b and 1c for the students, I ask the students “How do you get to school?”, I want them to remember the ways of transportation. So I ask the students to listen to the sound of the transportation and guess what kind of transportation it is. And then I ask one student to read the names of 1b and 1c , and I play 1b, let the students complete 1b and 1c , then check the answer. And then Let the students listen and imitate the conversation. Pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation. (通过听力让学生对于本课的基本句型有了一个初步印象,并且让他们自己从听力中领悟怎样表达使用某种交通工具。) Step 4 Pair work Ask two students to read the conversation, then let the students practice in pairs like this: A: How does Bob go to the park?B: First, he rides a to the Next, he takes to the Finally ,he gets to the park by Encourage them to use different words and find out the best pair. In this step ,the students are required to practice the Sample in pairs by reading the conversation aloud. This step is employed to make the students grasp the Sample. At last, Ill ask the students to think hard and act it out with a partner according to Sample. Then find out which pair will act it out well. Ill give them some cards with numbers as a prize. (通过对话让学生更好的掌握所学的句型,而且在这一过程中充分训练了单数第三人称的句子。)Step 5 Group workLet four students work in groups, make sure they have no problems in understanding the conversation. Maybe they cant distinguish the use of “take”. Ask them to discuss in groups, then find out the difference between them. In this way , the students can learn how to communicate with each other.A:How does Nina get home?B:First, sheC:Next, sheD:At last, she(让学生通过图片来完成对话,生动形象。句子接龙能引起学生的注意,让他们既要考虑自己怎么说还要注意听别人怎么说,及时取长补短,学会灵活运用。)Step Six: Exercises Do some exercises to make sure that they can master different kinds of transportation well. (通过练习巩固所学内容)Step 8 Make a survey If they want to go to Beijing, Shanghai, the USA, or HongKong, ,how can they get there ?(提供至少两种交通方式) Interview your classmates or our teachers here by talking like this: A:Where do you want to go ?B:I want to go to Beijing.A:How do you get there ?B: First,I ride my bike to the train station and take a train. Then, I take the bus . At last, I get there by taxi.A: Oh, thats a good idea.S
