Unit 3 Could you please tell me where the restrooms are?General Analysis on This Unit:The topic of this unit is on travel around. It starts with the situations of traveling and many other daily activities. Let Ss learn this parts according to ask for the directions.Allow Ss to experience the real scene through the simulation, and let the students feel the content. After the end of teaching period, Ss should focus on the key points and be able to skillfully use the content. Ss can use the appropriate polite statement for directions or consulting information. Eg: Excuse me, do you know where I can buy?Could you please tell me how to get to?Can you tell me when?I wonder where we should ?and so on. Ss can master the relevant vocabulary presented in the textbook. Eg: bookstore, pardon, restroom, get to, turn left/right and so on. Ss can grasp the object clause clearly.General Teaching Objects: Knowledge Aims:To introduce Ss to the unit goals: ask for information politely; follow directions.To set the scene, increase Ss vocabulary and introduce the target language.To give Ss further practice in using the target language in speech. Ability Aims: To provide Ss with practice in identifying suitable situations for different ways of making requests. (2)To provide Ss with writing practice using the target language.Emotional Aims:To provide a comprehensive understanding of the key vocabulary and functions presented in the unit. (Tom is from Xining, he comes to our school to study with us for a short time. But he is lost, please help him. Then, I will ask ss: Could you tell him how to get to the meeting center?
