Yes, it is.【教学目标】(一)知识目标1、了解一些不寻常的现象和事件。2、学会使用正确的形容词来表达自己的感觉和见解。(二)能力目标用学到的惊人事件知识与同学进行交流。(三)情感目标1、培养学生的合作意识和表现意识,鼓励学生大胆的表达自己的想法和意愿,表现和展示自己。2、走进奇闻异事的世界,主动去更深入的了解这个世界。【教学重点】1、使用正确的形容词谈论自己的看法和见解2、能正确听、说、读、写课文中的四会句型。【教学难点】 能与他人流畅的就生活中听到或者看到的惊人事件展开对话,并能在此基础上进行对话表演.【教学准备】1、教具准备:单词、实物图片,多媒体课件.2、板书准备:预先写好课题Unit4 Amazing things Welcome to the Unit & Comic Strips【教材分析】Welcome to the Unit & Comic Strips是本单元的第一课,主要围绕一些世界奇闻异事方面的知识来展开,让学生们了解这些知识,并表达出自己的感觉和见解,以此来组织课堂教学和实践,达到提高学生听说读写能力的目的。本课内容作为本单元的导入部分,对后面知识的学习,尤其是后面Integrated skills和Main task部分的学习,都起着铺垫的作用。【教学对象】我们的教学对象是农村中学的七年级学生,虽然他们从小学三年级至今已经接触了近五年的英语,但因为学校师资力量的缺乏以及学校片面的抓语文、数学教学质量等诸方面的原因,学生们的英语运用能力实际上十分薄弱,表现为大部分学生在课堂上不够活跃,表现欲不强。为了激发和培养学生的英语学习兴趣,使学生们树立自信心,在教学本课时,我精心设计了多媒体课件,准备了许多图片、音像资料等,力求使英语学习贴近学生的生活实际,并使他们从中获得成就感,以求最大程度的激发学生学英语的热情,使他们树立起学好英语的自信心。通过近四年的英语学习,学生已经积累了一定的关于本课时的词汇、句型等方面的知识,如UFO, goldfish, elephant以及一般过去时等等,而这个年龄段的学生本身就对奇闻异事这类话题很感兴趣,也已经在日常学习和生活中积累了许多这方面的知识。结合初一学生的认知特点,我在教学中尽量避免了单纯的机械操练,而是利用图片、对话等去设置真实的场景,以调动起学生的学习兴趣。【教学策略】首先,利用多媒体,结合本单元奇闻异事的主题,利用图片、实物、简笔画等引入和帮助学生记忆相关词汇;然后,运用图片,帮助学生通过对话练习学会表达自己的感觉和见解,并组织学生进行了适量操练实践,以实现对教学重难点的突出与突破;在此过程中,注重培养学生良好的英语表达习惯,注重潜移默化的影响,发挥好教师的示范作用。在整个教学过程中,综合运用了探究学习法,小组合作法,情景交际法等多种新课程倡导的教学方法,体现了英语教学从“要我学”到“我要学”的转变.【教学主流程】Step1:Lead-in1.Show a short film about the 2010 World Exposition in Shanghai, ask the students about their feelings: How do you feel when you see the short film?Write and teach amazing.2.Students watch and discuss in pairs, then answer: I feel its wonderful/ beautiful/ amazing Learn the new word and read after the T.3.Show the teaching aims, teaching emphases ,teaching difficulties and teaching content to the class.Ss read and learn about them.【设计意图】课堂导入是一堂课成功的关键环节。开始时的“几分钟”导入设计得好,会给一堂课的成功奠定良好的基础。从去年火爆且学生熟悉的世博会来引入教学,更容易激起学生的学习兴趣,激发起学生的表现欲望。Step2: Presentation1.Tell the students: The world around us is full of amazing things.2.Show a picture of museums, ask: What do you usually see in museums?Ss think and answer: Many old amazing things.Show some old things.3.Lead to the topic: The students in Sunshine Secondary School will visit the Funny World Museum. What do you think they will see?4.Show the picture in Part A, on Page 61, ask: What can you see in the picture? Answer with the students: I can see lightning. I can see some plantsplants life.(Show the new words and phrases in time.)5.Show the rest five pictures and give the following model to the class: A: What can you see in the picture?B: I can seeT walks around, gives help if necessary, write the new words and phrases appeared in this part: travel, Earth, moon, elephant, without, spaceship, sneeze, tiptoe.Teach the new words and phrases after the activity.6.Check the learning situation of vocabulary:Ss fill in the blanks with the given wordstravel Earth moon Elephants without plant sneeze the USA open (1)It takes about three days to _ from _ to the _ by spaceship.(2)A man in _ was 2.72 metes tall.(3)Fish sleep with their eyes_.(4)You cannot _ and keep your eyes open at the same time.(5)_walk on tiptoe.(6)There is no _ life _ lightning.7.Check the answers with the class.8,Turn to Page61Check the answers with the class.【设计意图】这部分我以图片来引入,让学生针对图片来讨论,生动形象,学生兴趣浓厚,这个环节的设置,既锻炼了学生的口语,又引出了生词,同时借助图片让学生对生词和重点短语的印象更加深刻。在书中练习之前,我还插入了一个选词填空的练习环节,所填的部分均是本课时的重点,这样更容易引起学生对知识点的关注。Step3:A game1.Encourage the students to make dialogues about amazing things they have seen or heard, work in groups of four., then try to act out their dialogues.Give the students an example:A: Do you know that?B: Really? How do you know that?A:Dont you think thats amazing/ interesting/ funny/ great/ wonderful?B: Yes, I do. /No, I dont think so. But do you know that?A:2.Several groups come to the front and act out their dialogues.(Judge which group makes the fewest mistakes and uses the least time, clap for the winners.)Rules:Each group in the class should give their dialogues correctly and quickly.Attention: The other members should listen carefully, point out the mistakes after each groups action.【设计意图】游戏是深受学生喜爱的学习活动方式,在教学中能将课堂导入环节和合适的游戏结合起来,学生便可以在轻松愉快的游戏氛围中积极主动地接受新的知识。因此,我以竞赛的形式安排了Welcome to the Unit部分的教学,这样不仅课堂气氛活跃起来了,更重要的是利用这种竞赛的形式,学生在短时间内自然、轻松而又不失紧张地进行了对话的练习,提高课堂了学习效率。同时,每个学习小组的合作意识与能力也得到了加强,而就整个班级来看,学生的竞争意识也更强了。Step4:Presentation1、Tell the students: Hobo and Eddie also see something strange in the sky. They are talking about it now. What are they talking about? Lets listen to their dialogue.2、Show the four pictures on Page60 and the exercise below:Hobo and Eddie are talking about something outside. Eddie tells him its only the _ on _ _ .But Hobo still thinks it _ a_ , because its _ _ .Ss listen to the tape again, then try to fill in the blanks.Check the answers with several students .3.Books open.Play the tape for the students to listen and repeat.4.Read in pairs, then try to act out the dialogue.Several pairs have a try.【设计意图】Comic Strips部分内容诙谐幽默而又浅显,适合学生做一些听力练习。因此,首先我设置了问题,让学生带着问题认真聆听对话。“罗马不是一天就造成的。”只有时刻将听力教学贯穿与课堂教学中,才能切实提高学生的听力水平。之后,针对学生阅读理解能力尤其是任务型阅读能力薄弱的特点,我设置了一个与漫画相关的填词练习,以练习形式进一步巩固了学生对漫画内容的掌握。Step5:ExerciseShow the following exercise to the students:Translation:(1)从我家到学校步行要花半小时。_(2)没有太阳就没有一切生命。_(3)当你离开教室的时候不要让门开着。_(4)小镇上的一棵树300多年了。_(5)我们骑自行车去上学。_(6)这只不过是月亮的光。_Several students write on the blackboard , other students write in their exercise books.Check the answers with the class.【设计意图】针对学生书面表达能力欠缺的弱点,我设置了这项翻译练习。句子内容都比较简单,且用到的都是课文中涉及到的一些知识点,既是对本课所学的内容进行的一次巩固练习,同时也是对学生本节课的学习情况的一个小检测,学生反馈情况较好。Step6:Homework1.Read the dialogue and the sentences in the b
