And most of them are just 18, so I design No.3 to raise their awareness of duty as a beginning adult.Step 2 Lead-in Show the students some pictures and a movie Jurassic Park to raise the students interest. After watching the movie, I give the students the question: Do you like live with dinosaurs? If students say that they would like with the dinosaurs. Then I can lead in the text . Or I can mention another word oil or gasoline to lead in the dinosaurs body providing them to us to lead in the text.Now lets go into the text.Step3 readingI. Read the title and the whole text and fill in the blanks . 1.Why does the writer use the ?(question mark) in the title? Because he doubts whether we can _ the dinosaurs. Can you think of other sentences to replace the title ?Choose the proper answers.A.Can we clone the dinosaurs? B.Can we bring back the dinosaurs to life?II.Read the first paragraph carefully to answer the following questions.1.Why does the text mention the movie Jurassic Park ?Choose the best answer. For the title, in fact it is an indicate that we can not clone the extinct dinosaurs or impossible for us to clone the dinosaurs successfully. The author doubts whether we can clone the dinosaurs . Because the answer type questions are too hard for the students so I change them into filling-blanks to low the difficulty. The second multiple choice question . I want to make the students know how to use the synonym phrases to make the writing colorful and rich. As for the first paragraph questions , my aim is to let the function of the film Jurassic Park and learn to find out the years which imply the clones history is short and a new science to go. The substitute question and translations are for training the students skill to find the clues in the text and the comprehension about the sentences of the text. And make sure that the students can learn how to infer according to the clues which given in the context.At last , the students can get the summary about this text as following :1.Now what conclusions can you get after reading the text?The first paragraph:1)It is a new science. 2)a long way to go3)We succeeded in cloning some animals.The second paragraph: There are 3 conditions to clone the extinct animals. 1.perfect DNA 2. Enough diversity 3.a suitable habitatThe third paragraph: Time limit :no longer than 10,000 years ago but dinosaurs died of more than 65,000,000 years ago.So it is just a dream now.Why did I usenow? Because I think that perhaps in the future the scientists can solve the difficulty to clone the extinct animals without the limit of the time.
