Leading-ina) Listen and sing a song “My family”b) Talk about the family members in the video. Ask whether they love their families.c) Show the subject of the lesson - “My family”.2. Pre-task activitiesa) Show the students a photo of my family, and introduce my family to them.Teach the new words while introducing.b) Read the names of family members together to make sure they can pronounce them right.c) Draw the lines to let them know about family tree.d) 1a. Individually the students should add the words in the box to the family tree. Choose a student to show his/her answers.e) Listening practice Listen to the tape for 1b, explain the aim before listening. Check by asking the questions below.1. How many words did you circle?2. What are they?f) Look at the two pictures in 1c, talk about them first. Then ask them which picture they think is the one Jiang Tao and Tom are talking about. Try to help them to give the reasons.g) Listen again. Try to know more about the picture.h) Talk about Jiang Taos family by asking the questions below.1. Who is he/she ?2. Who are they?3. While-task activitiesa) Task: Blank filling The students would be given a short passage which is about Jiang Taos family. Some words are missing, and they are supposed to look at the picture to complete the passage.b) Task Two: Show your familyThe students would be asked to bring their family photos before class. They would be given 5 minutes to talk and practice to introduce their family members to their groupmates. Later they would be asked to show their family photos to the whole class and introduce them.The way to talk and introduce family members would be explained before their practice.4. Post-task activitiesa) Ask some of the students to write their answers on the whiteboard. Correct the mistakes appeared.b) The students would show their family photos on the screen, and then they should stand in front of the class to introduce their family members. Notice them to pay attention to the beginning and the ending of their introduction.5. CheckThe students introductions would be given points to make a competition.The full mark would be 5 poi
