I like those pants.Do the actions with the help of the pictures.*On skills:.Students are capable of describing their favorite clothes with their colors.Students do actions in “Lets do.”*On Emotions:.Students are aware of helping their family members in doing housework. .Cultivate students habit of observing our clothes carefully and inspire their taste for choosing different clothes.Learn to cooperate to improve their oral English and finish tasks.Teaching Difficulties:. Articulation of “Clothes”. Usage of single and plural forms: that, those.Teaching Instruments:.Changyan Multimedia software.PPT.Word cards.Clothes.Pictures.Analysis of the Teaching Material:Part A focuses on students favorite clothes. Their learning difficulty lies in keeping these words in heart. Colors describing clothes have been taught in Grade3, so while teaching, those words have to be reviewed to achieve a continuous learning process.Analysis of Students:Students have learned words on colors, but they still have to be reminded to recall them. Students in Grade4 are more sensitive to changes and develop communicative and cooperative abilities quickly, so more creative and challenging tasks are designed to satisfy their needs.Teaching Procedures:Step1. Warm-up.Greetings. .Free talk on weather, hat, etc. ( T is wearing a hat).Self-introduction. (PPT shows Name, hobbies).A story of picture book called The Emperors New Clothes.(Watch a flash)Step2. Lead-in.Guessing: “What kind of clothes did I wear on that day?” (PPT shows a picture)Step3. Presentation1. T Shows the picture, Ss try to guess the place and list the clothes they know.2. T reads and explains and writes key words on the blackboard. Ss read after T.3. Ss watch the cartoon to learn the phrases. (Read and repeat)4. T points to the pictures, Ss read the words.Step4. Consolidation& extension:1. T reads, Ss find the pictures.2. T points to the pictures and ask “Do you like?” Ss try to use “I like that green skirt/. I like those pants.”3. Making up dialogues. (Setting up a scene of shopping for the Childrens Day.) 1) Ss can work in groups to prepare.2) Ss choose their favorite clothes by using “I like that green skirt/.”3) They must imitate Ts actions before going back to their seats. 4. Play the flash of “Lets do”1)T: “Do you want to do the actions together?”2) Ss watch the flash and imitate.5. Game: Plants VS Corpse on Clothes1) PPT shows the rules and T explains.2) Three Ss form a group.Step5.
