The days have cooled down, the leaves have turned yellow, and the world is busy preparing herself for winter. Theres something magical about the clear brisk days, the first smell of the woodstove or the fireplace, the first frost, the canning of the late fruits and vegetables, the pumpkin and cider stands on the roadways. There is a harmony in autumn, and a luster in its sky, which through the summer is not heard or seen. Fallen leaves lying on the grass in the November sun bring more happiness than the daffodils. School has started, and theres newness in the air. Even though the season is the precursor to winter, somehow, the world knows that winter is necessary, and the long preparation for the cold of winter-the preparation that is autumn-is a beautiful, necessary part of the world. 四、Love your motherLet us take a moment of the time just to pay tribute and show appreciation to the person called MOM though some may not say it openly to their mother. Theres no substitute for her. Cherish every single moment. Though at times she may not be the best of friends, she may not agree to our thoughts, she is still your mother!Your mother will be there for you; to listen to your woes your brags your frustrations, etc. Ask yourself “Have you put aside enough time for her, to listen to her blues of working in the kitchen, her tiredness?”Be tactful, loving and still show her due respect, though you may have a different view from hers. Once gone, only fond memories of the past and also regrets will be left.Do not take for granted the things closest to your heart. Love her more than you love yourself. Life is meaningless without her.五、Dads words1. Never waste water. 2. Listen to good music, especially jazz. 3. Admire people who are not only good at what they do, but who love doing it. 4. Respect your roots. 5. Never waste food. 6. Your body is a beautiful machine. Eat right and exercise.7. Never waste money. 8. Be kind to children and animals. 9. Be a good friend. 10. Never waste anything. 11. When youre watching a nature show on television, dont feel too bad when the lion kills the gazelle because the lion has to eat, too.12. Theres always something. 13. Dont scuff your shoes. 14. Anticipate what could go wrongsomething always goes wrongand try to prevent it from happening. If it happens anyway, learn from it.15. Act a little cocky. 16. Theres only one way to do things: the right way. 17. When youre screwing something in, make sure its good and tight, but 18. Dont take the little sticker off the peach until youre ready to eat it because the sticker will rip the skin and make it go bad faster.19. Listen to people. Listen to their stories. Listen deeply. Then he ran up the nose of the lion, awakening the great beast from his sleep.The lion caught the little creature and the mouse, shivering with fear, cried out for mercy. Please have mercy on me, King Lion! Please dont kill me! Forgive me this time, and I will never forget it. A day may come when I may be able to do something for you to repay your kindness. The lion smiled at the mouses fright and laughed at the thought that so small a creature could ever help him, but he let the mouse go.Not long after this, the lion was caught in a hunters net. The angry lion let out a roar that could be heard far and wide throughout the forest. Even the mouse heard it. He knew it was the voice of the lion. He recalled that the lion had been merciful to him then. So he ran to the place where the lion lay caught in the net of ropes. He said to him, King Lion, now its time for me to repay you.The mouse set to work at once, biting with his sharp little teeth at the heavy ropes that held the lion.
