Unit 3 Could you please clean your room?(1a-1c) 唐镇中心学校 姜春.Textbook Analysis: 1. The position and the usage of the teaching material Section A 1a-1c of Unit 3 is very important. It helps the students to learn the following parts of this unit. Through learning this part, students need to master the basic vocabularies and the sentence “could you please ”to ask someone to do something in a polite way.2. Teaching importance and difficultiesImportance:New vocabularies: do the dishes, take out the rubbish, fold your clothes, sweep the floor, make the bed, clean the living room.New structures: Could you/I please? Yes, sure. I/You can. Sorry, I/you cant. I/you have to doDifficulties: 1). The new vocabularies: do the dishes, take out the rubbish, fold your clothes, sweep the floor, make the bed, clean the living room.2). New structures: Could you/I please?3). Train students listening, speaking skills and communicative competence. Teaching Aims and Demands: 1. Knowledge aims: Enable students to master the new vocabularies and new structures, enable students to ask permission in a polite way. 2. Ability aims: Train students listening, speaking skills and communicative competence. 3. Moral aims: At home, be a good kid and help parents do chores. At school, be a good teenager and help classmates to improve. Students Analysis: Most of the students in this class arent good at English because their English teacher is often changed. They dont often use English to express themselves and communicate with others. Some students arent active in the class, they dont want to open their mouth because they are afraid of making mistakes.IV.Procedures:Step 1 Warming up1).Greetings2). Warming up: answer the questions: Do you usually do when you are at home? Is your father or mother busy? Do you often help your mother do the housework? (housework=chores)3) Show pictures to present new words and Write the phrases on the blackboard and ask students to guess the meaning of them. Then ask the students to read the new phrases. 4).Look at the pictures and answer the question: What chores are they doing now? 【教师活动】:1、用学生已学过的两个句型提问来引出本课的新词组。 2、用第三个问题引出其他与本课相关的词组。【学生活动】:1、尽量运用本课新词汇来回答老师的问题。 2、了解新词汇的拼写和用法。【设计意图】:在教学过程中,利用课件上的图画激发学生的兴趣,让学生集中注意力,同时也呈现了这节课的新词汇do the dishes, take out the rubbish, fold your clothes, sweep the floor, make the bed, clean the living room. 通用图片辅助学习新短语,生动形象;记忆游戏能够检测单词的快速有效的记忆;口头练习重点短语,使学生能够脱口而出。Step 2 Leading in 1)Read the chores freely.2)Ask students the chores they did at home and which chores they like and dislike. Then work in pairs .3)Ask students to do a memory game. Show students pictures quickly then cover them and ask students to say what chores they saw. 【教师活动】:帮助学生熟练的掌握新短语。【学生活动】:,两人练习关于家务的对话话并进行游戏。【设计意图】:结合生活实际,通用小组练习对话辅助学习新短语,印象更深刻;记忆游戏能够检测单词的快速有效的记忆;口头练习重点短语,使学生能够脱口而出。Step 3 Presentation1) How to make a polite request? And learn the new sentence. 2) Pair work, choose pictures to practice in pairs. Use sentence “ Could you please” to make conversations.3) Ask two students to read the sample conversation in activity 1c.Then students make their own conversations. Ask students to be a good kid like Peter.【教师活动】:通过听录音,让学生完成练习。学习Peter做一个好孩子。【学生活动】:听录音,完成表格,判断妈妈和Peter各自做了什么家务。【设计意图】:这个环节是利用录音,结合看图片的多种方式呈现给学生所学的新单词和新句型,突出本节课的教学目标,在录音中学习新单词和表达法。Step 5 Make conversations 1).Every group is a family, we need to clean the house. Use sentence “ Could you please” to make conversations.2).Students need to clean the classroom ,the monitor invite some students to do something. Use sentence “ Could you please” to make conversations. 3) Mother Day is in May, say something to your mother in a polite way . Use sentence “ Could you pleaseCould I please” to thank yourmother. and help your mother do the chores. 【教师活动】1、角色表演:,由于某事全家总动员收拾房间,每组为一个单位编进行角色表演 2、创设情境:,班级大扫除。班长请求同学帮助做一些事情。 3、感恩我们的妈妈,并帮忙做家务活。【学生活动】:1、复习关于家务劳动的表达法。 2、用句型“Could you please”来编对话。【设计意图】:通过情境自主编对话,并进行角色表演,感恩我们的父母。能调动学生的创新思维。Step 6 .Summary1.
