Lead students to recognize them and say them out in English.Then show the correct words and lead students to repeat. Call attention to the pronunciation and intonation. 2. Teach activity 1aFirst, ask students to have a look at the four pictures in 1a and try to describe them in chinese.Then lead them to read the listed the words in the box and understand their meanings.Give students three minutes to match the words with the pictures. Later check the answers.Step 3 Practice 1. Teach activity 1b.First, lead students to read through the instructions and example sentence to know how to do this activity.Then give students two minutes to complete the other three sentences. They can fill any famous peoples name in it as they like.Later invite some volunteers to share their answers. 2. Listening 1c、1d.T: Now, well do some listening practice. You will hear Maria and Danny talking about Tina Brown and Johnny Dean. Ill play the tape twice. The first time, you need to listen carefully and write Tinas job in the chart. The second time, take some notes about Johnnys and Tinas looks, and finish the row “looks like” in the chart.Later play it one more time for students to repeat and check the answers.Step 4 Consolidation Teach activity 1e.T: This time, please name a famous person and describe him or her. For example, “My favorite singer is Wang Junkai, he is handsome and tall, he sings well.Ask students to work in small pairs.Have students describe a famous person to the group. First, we learned some expressions to describe peoples looks by matching them with correct pictures. Then we practiced using these target language to describe the looks of some famous musicians or actors. And we did some listening to write down some peoples jobs and looks.
