Unit6 Im going to study computer science( Section A 1a-1c)The Teaching DesignI.TEACHING MATERIAL ANALYSIS 1a-1c,Unit 6 Im going to study computer science, from Grade 8 English book (1)Go For it!II.TEACHING GOALS 1.Language goals (1)Learn some useful job words and phrases:cook;driver;doctor;pilot;engineer;pianist; violinist;scientist;computer programmer;grow up;be going to. (2)Sentence structures: -What do you want to be when you grow up? -I want to be a computer programmer. -How are you going to do that? -Im going to study computer science. (3)Try to understand the important phrase”be going to” 2.Ability goals (1) Let Ss master the pronunciation and Chinese meanings of the job words and useful phrase. (2)Make sure Ss can talk what their dream jobs are and how they are going to do that (3)Ss can try to use the phrase “be going to ” to talk about things in future( for example,dream jobs in this unit). (4)Train Sslistening and speaking abilities. 3.Emotional goalsHelp Ss to have a dream job and encourage them to try their best to make their dreams come true, and help them to understand that dreams will come true if they study hard.III.TEACHING IMPORTANT POINTS AND DIFFICULT POINTS. 1.Important points (1)Ss can master the pronunciation and Chinese meanings of the job words and the phrases ”grow up”be going to” (2)Ss can use what question and how question to talk about dream jobs and how they are going to make dreams come true. (3)Try to understand “be going to do ”. 2.Difficult points (1)The pronunciation of some longer job words and the long sentence “what do you want to be when you grow up”. (2)Ss may not remember the sentence structure with book or any prompts. (3)Ss may have problems making the comprehensive speechIV.TEACHING METHODS Situation approach; game approach;task-based approach; communicative approachV.TEACHING AIDS PPT; computer; screen; tape recorder; chalk; blackboardVI.TEACHING PROCEDURES Step 1 Lead-in Enjoy a song and ask Ss to find out the job word in the song. Have a brain storm about job words3 Educate students :No matter what kind of job you do, love it. Step 2 New words For the first time, T teaches new words slowly and help Ss understand the Chinese meaning of each word one by one. For the second time, Ss read after T. Ss read the word with Chinese. Test Ss memory about the words to make sure most Ss can read them Play a game to help Ss to have a further understanding of job words. Step 3 Talk about dream jobs. T: Show a picture of Li Yang and encourage them: If you can dream it, you can achieve.1. Play a game :Ask students to speak the sentence loudly one by one, help student understand that “be going to” or “will”is used to talk about future and practice speaking English loudly. 2、Ask and answer to make sure they understand the what question in this unit. 3、Remember the sentence structure and practice between T and Ss.4. Check Ss if all of them can understand the sentences in Chinese. Step 4 Presentation of ”be going to” Help student understand that “be going to” is used to talk about future . Use “be going to ” to talk about how to make dream come true. (make a preparation for Listening activity 1b) Step 5 Listening For the first time, Ss fill in the blanks . For the second time, Ss match the phrases. Step 6 Pair Work Input the two sentence structures by remembering them. Ss make dialogues with the form. Ask some pairs to act out . Step 7 Welcome to the dream theater: Talk about the future in 20301. First the teacher makes a model for students and teach them to write about their dreams with “what、 how 、where 、why.”2. Then ask some students to make a speech loudly.3、Wish Ss to have a good job and educate them to serve the peopleand get the happiness from the work. 4、The Ss have written about their dreams on the paper. Ask Ss to make a plane and fly their paper, then each student pick up a plane and talk about classmates dreams.Step8 Summary :What we have learnt todayShow the key words ,phrases ,sentences and grammar on the PPT ,ask students to read them loudly. Step9Emotional Education Show a picture of Bill Gates: How a Geek Changed the World. Encourage Ss to work hard and devote themselves to the society and the people. “If you have a dream, study hard and work hard, and your dream will come true one day. Because nothing is impossible” (teach the saying ”Nothing is impossible”) Step10 Homework 1.Writing: My Future in 20302.Learn more words about jobs. VII.TEACHEING DESIGNUnit 6 Im going to study computer science.cook engineer -What do you want to be when you grow up?driver scientist -I want to be a computer programmer.doctor pianist -How are you going to do that?pilot violinist -Im going to study computer puter programmerUnit6 Im going to study computer science( SectionA 1a-1c)教学反思 在这节课中,学生兴趣浓厚,学得积极主动,反思整个教学过程,我认为成功的地方是:教学设计循序渐进而有创新,采用师生互动,生生互动,小组活动,游戏法,任务型教学法,在教学过程中注重激发学生学习兴趣,注重发展学生综合语言运用能力,教师面向全体学生,学生在学习过程中积极去体会、感知、参与、实践、合作等,增强了学生实践能力,培养了学习英语的兴趣和信心。同时,根据本课教学特点,在教学过程中,在传授知识和培养技能的同时,将积极的情感、端正的态度、正确的社会主义价值观自然融入课程教学全过程。具体体现在:1、营造了和谐、民主、轻松的课堂气氛。师生互动交流自然和谐,在教学过程中注重过程性评价,不断用“Good./Well done/Excellent/You did a good job等评价学生,激发了学习兴趣,增强了自信心和成就感,学生们在轻松、欢快、自由、民主的教学气氛中学习。2、教学设计层次清楚,过渡自然,环环相扣,有创新,注重语言的输入和输出,尤其注重发展学生综合语言运用能力。3、 小组合作学习激发了学生为小组荣誉而战的竞争意识,学生积极主动。在教学过程中,小组之间的同学互相帮助,主动求助,主动帮助,积极交流和对话。4、 本课体现了 “教师为主导,学生为主体”的课改理念。教学过程面向全体学生,教师成为教学优秀的组织者,注重学生的参与和实践,学生们在“用中学,学中用,学用结合,学以致用”。做到教学相长。5、 在教学过程中,巧妙而自然地用三句格言对学生进行了德育教育,并且在师生交流过程中教育学生树立正确的职业观,树立正确的社会主义劳动观、价值观,为人民服务同时从工作中获得快乐。A、 No matter what kind of job you do ,love it.B、 If you can dream it ,you can a
