Teaching procedures Step1 Warming up1.Greet the whole class.2.Sing the song Do Re Mi3.The seven different notes make beautiful songs. A lot of different people make our life colorful.Step 2 Lead-in1. Show photos of the teachers family and some other photos to teach the new words. Its important not to use negative words.2. Students read the new words in groups. Then read them together.Step 3 Presentation (1a)1.Look at the picture in 1a.Ask Ss questions about the picture.2.Add some more words about peoples look.3.Ask Ss to read the words from 1 to 10 in 1a.4. Match the words with the people in the picture. 5.Check the answers.Step4 Listening (1b).1. Talk about the picture again and guess the words of blanks to get ready for the listening task.2. Listen carefully and get the general idea.3. Listen again and fill in the blanks. And find Amys friend.4.Check the answers.Step 5 Pair work (1c).Ask and answer questions about peoples looks and the Ss will find him or her. Step 6 Consolidation(An interesting game)1.
