Unit 8 How do you make a banana milk shake? Section B (3a 3c) 郧阳区实验中学 李崇华一、教材内容分析 Part 3a-3c of Section B will be covered in the fifth period of this unit. In the picture of 3a Section B, Its a photo of several friends .The food topic is the main topic in this period. What kind of ingredients are important in making food? The Ss can first list the ingredients. The students will get consolidation of some important phrases and drills .In the part 1b the students will have chances to use the target language to express their ideas of making friends .In the part 2a 2b the Ss can know Holly and Marias ideas of making friends. From this class the Ss can have right ideas of making friends and make ideal friends.一、教学目标:1、复习巩固表达制作食物的过程并熟练掌握制作食物的词汇及句式,准确使用描述顺序的词:first、next、then、finally等。2、能制作自己喜欢的食物并用简单的语言描述他们的制作过程。3、应用所学语言,实现能力迁移。学生可以利用课余时间到养老院,孤儿院志愿献上可口的食物。二、学情分析:本单元的主题是谈论制作食物的方法,学习如何讲述制作食物的过程和步骤,如何听懂指令,同时引导学生相互交流,介绍自己制作某种食品的方法和过程。引导学生采用Guessing and Sequencing(先后顺序)的学习策略,学习一些新词汇,掌握一些新句型,在小组合作学习过程中,培养有序地处理事情的能力. 三、重点、难点重点:复习巩固制作食物的词汇及句式。难点:能模仿课文例句,在口笔头上谈论表达食物的制作过程。四、教学过程 Before-writingStep1:Revision and Lead-in 1、Check the homework 2、Talk about the Chinese famous food and Western famous food, and write down their names.Chinese famous food: _ Western famous food :_ 3、播放“Just for fun” Flash动画“First,put two cups of sugar on the bread;Next,put a cup of honey on the bread;Finally,eat it”Then the teacher asks: “Do you enjoy eating this kind of sandwich ? Why ? Can you make a sandwich in a right way? Lets look at a short video of making super chicken sandwich!”After watching the video, the teacher asks the students to pay attention to 描述顺序的词“first, next, then, finally while making a sandwich”4,老师呈现“Yunnan Rice Noodles”的图片。并介绍制作“Yunnan Rice Noodles”所需的材料以及制作云南米线的过程。5,The students work on 3a. (Page 63)Task 1. Read the recipe and fill in the blanks. (并勾画出不理解的词句) Task 2. Discuss the answers in groups then check the answers in class (注意上下文联系)Task 3. Ask questions: “What do many people in Yunnan eat for breakfast?”呈现“havefor breakfast / lunch / supper”When Yunnan Rice Noodles are ready, 引出“Its time to enjoy the rice noodles / Its time for the rice noodles”呈现“Its time to do sth / Its time for sth ”Task 4. Read the passage and try to retell how to make Yunnan Rice NoodlesWhile-writingStep1. 3b:The people in Yunnan like eating Yunnan rice noodles, We are Yunyang people ,What do we like to eat ? Think of a favorite food in your hometown. First make a list of ingredients.Step2. 3c:Write a recipe for your favorite food. The students can use 3a and 3b to help them。Ask a students to come to the blackboard to write a passage about how to make her favorite food (其他学生先独立完成,然后对子间交流完善,并在小组展示,最后在班级投影展示)注意:学生在写作前老师要进行写作指导(Guide-writing)在描述食物制作过程时文章开头总领全篇的句子通常是:Many people like eating To make this popular food you need to have Here is one way to make it, 文章中间要用到:描述顺序的词“first, next, then, finally文章结尾起到收篇和提升的效果的句子通常是: Now its time to enjoy your delicious food或者是:OK, Its time for you to share your delicious food with your friend !Step3. 下面是一篇制作玉米花(popcorn)的小短文,供学生参考。设计目的:(学生可以对照爆米花的写作范例进一步完善自己的文章) After-writingStep1. Lets have fun ! Make up a crazy recipe with your partner. Then tell another pair of students how to make this crazy food. The other pair will draw it.学生可以结合郧阳三合汤“three delicacies soup, Yunyang style”这一地方特色,想象制成“crazy three delicacies soup,Yunyang style(疯狂郧阳三合汤)”, 同时教育学生“Life is just like this ,full of all kinds of tastes:Sweet, sour, bitter, hot We must learn to experience it !”设计目的:(通过前面的学习,现在学生可以充分发挥想象,想象一道疯狂的的食物和菜谱,通过俩人结对子的方式让语言知识在轻松的环境中在听说读写中得到巩固和内化。)Step2.
