Teaching difficult pointsThe use of “am/is/are doing correctly? ”& above contents (III)Teaching breakthroughAccording to studying Section A (1a-1c), talk about different activities,so as to master referring to languages.IIV. Teaching methods & manners:Guide gesture demonstration & enlightenmentTeaching manners: listen say(discuss) act read guess & practiseTeaching imagination & proceduresI.Free-talk Make conversations about “Nice to meet you.” Then raise the Ssinterest of activities ,such as “run sing ?see if more Ss can cooperate together, I will talk about this topic & say “ Im watching TV.” II.Appreciate & answer1. Show some pictures on the screen,Present the new words and expressions. 2. Ss watch and learn the new words and expressions 1a.3. Watch a video,teach Ss - verbing lead:playing ,dancing,swimming .as the same way. and work on 1a. Ss read the activities and look at the pictures. Then match the activities with pictures. Meanwhile finish & check the Ssanswers 1a. . Listening 1b 1.Work on1b T: What are Jenny, John, Dave and Mary doing? Now lets listen to the tape, find out the right activities from 1a. (If necessary,Play the recording for the Ss twice.) 2. Ss listen to the recording and write the numbers from 1a and repeat. .Game (guess)1. T: Now lets play a game. Whats she/he doing?Ss must watch the screen carefully. (Show some pictures on the screen quickly) Let Ss guess whats he/she is doing?(ask Ss to do)2. Ss watch and guess the actions. V. Pair work Ask the Ss to make conversations about the pictures. Pair work 1c & Practice1. Now role-play the conversation with your partners.2. Let Ss practice (on the screen)see if much more Ss have received. .Homework & TDa sending words: 1. Review the words and expressions in 1a. 2.
