Emotion goal: Through the activities of talking about the weather and things around us, students show their concern for others , the environment and our society.Important points: Revise and use the words, expressions and sentence structures correctly.Difficult points: Describe the weather in 4 seasons and peoples activities听录音,正确写出主要信息。根据实际情况描述当地的天气情况和人们的活动,在具体的语境中能准确熟练地运用重点词汇和句型。VI. Teaching procedures Step1. Greeting (1分钟)Greeting each other用一段小视频导入新课。(1分钟)Step 2. Revision: talk about weather by using some pictures:A: How is the weather?B: Its .A: What are they doing?B: They are .Step3. Free talk (2分钟)Ask the Ss to talk about the weather and activities todayStep4. PresentationStep(1)Learn new words. The teacher point to a picture(6分钟)Say:Its cold in this pictureAsk:Is it cold here today?(cold板书学习);同样方式学习:cool,warm, dry, hot1Point out the numbered list of words, ask the Ss to repeat the words againAsk Ss to match each word with one of the pictures2出示一副冬天的图画:Ask:Who likes cold weather?when a student raises his or her hand, ask the question:Do you like cold weather?帮助回答:Yes, I do .No,I dont.(出示与课本相似的五幅图画)Step(2).Pair work. (5分钟)Let Ss ask and answer questions about the five kinds of weather.A: Whats the weather like in picture d?B: Its dry.教师可以鼓励学生加入一些细节,如图片d中的沙漠,骆驼,对图中的人物活动也可以进行讨论!请几组学生示范表演。如果学生对于图片中的人物活动不清楚,教师可鼓励学生猜测,只要他们能正确运用进行时态的结构即可。(加入游戏环节:Guessing game! 积极参与,猜对的同学有小奖品!4分钟)Step(3)Listening time! (10分钟)1.Listen and write what Maria and Sam answer to Hows it going?Listen carefully to their questions and answersTaperecording:We will listen twice. The first time,just listen !The second time,write out their answers.2.Listen again,Write what Maria and Sam answer to“What are you doing? and Hows the weather?(教师巡视指导,提醒学生注意系动词与人称一致的原则。提醒学生填空时先写关键词或词的一部分,听后有时间再补充完整。教师提问表中问题,请个别学生回答,全部核对答案。)Step (4). Role-play the conversation. (5分钟)According to the information in 1c, role-play the conversation between Mary and Eric.Then make up a conversation by yourself and show it to your classmates.请几组基础比较好的同学进行示范表演。Step5.Exercise (5分钟)通过设计的练习题,查看学生对本节课重点词汇句型的掌握程度!Step6. Summary (2分钟)本节课学习了4个关于天气的生词,继续练习巩固了“Hows it going?/Hows the weather? / What are you doing?”通过本节课的学习,学生能熟练地应用所学知识问答。Step7.
