Warming upAsk students that “what do you usually do on weekends?” then look at pictures on ppt, and ask students “what is the boy doing?”Step 2. Presentation1. Through the pictures to learn new words and phrases, such as soup, make soup and so on.2. Match the words and the pictures in Activity 1a. Then check answers.3. Ask questions:(1) A: Look at picture b/c/e/g. Whats he /she doing?B: He/She is (2) A: What are they doing in picture h?B: They are 3. The Ss read these V-ing words after the teacher.4. Play the tape. Finish the task of Activity 1b. Then check answers by conversations:A: Whats Jenny doing? B: Shes watching TV. 5. Teach the Present Progressive.Tell the Ss what the Present Progressive is.
