Unit 7 Its raining.(SectionA1a-2c)一、 教材分析本节课是新目标七年级下册第6单元第一课时,主要是学习询问天气情况的表达方式,以及学习表天气特征的形容词,是一堂听说课,主要培养学生的听说能力。二、 教学方法我采用任务教学法、情境教学法等完成本节课的目标教学。三、 学法指导学生通过听说、表演、小组合作学习、观察、归纳等方法来完成本节课的目标。四、教学目的1.Knowledge Objects(1)Key vocabulary: rainy, windy, cloudy, snowy, weather, Boston, Moscow(2)Target languages: Hows the weather in Beijing? (= Whats the weather like in Beijing?) Its sunny.(3) Word-making: Rainrainy, windwindy, cloudcloudy snow snowy, sun sunny2.Ability ObjectsTo train students ability of listening and speaking. Students can talk about the weather.3. Emotion ObjectsWe should try to protect the environment to improve the weather, save water, plant trees, etc.五、教学重点Target languagesWord-making六、教学难点Improving the Ss ability of communicating with each other about the weather.七、教学步骤Step 1 Revision Show some pictures and ask questions: What are they doing? Whats she/ he doing? Students answer the teachers questions to revise the present continuous tense. Step 2 Presentation For the last question: What is she doing? The teacher helps Ss answer to present the new words: weather. (She is talking about the weather.) Then teach Ss to read more . 1. Students look at the pictures and answer. 2. Students look, follow the teacher and understand .Step 3 Presentation and learning Show some weather spictures. Then ask students Do you know them? Please discuss and answer. Show the weather words and teach students to read. Students discuss in groups. Then say out their ideas. (Ss can say them in Chinese). Ss read after the teacher and understand.Step 4 Presentation and practice The teacher says If we want to know about the weather, how do we ask? to present the target languages Hows the weather? =Whats the weather like? Then show some pictures to practice (ask and answer) Ss listen carefully, understand and learn. Then answer the teachers questions and practice in pairs.A: Whats the weather like?B: Its Step 5 practice (Guessing game) Show some pictures which are covered. Ask Ss to guess . Ss guess freely to see who is right.Step 6 Looking for the rule The teacher shows the weather words including n. and adj. Ask Ss to find out the rules.Ss find the rules of word -making by themselves.Rain rainy wind windyloud cloudysnow snowy sun sunnyStep 7 Filling and listening Ask Ss to look at 1a of their book and match the words with the pictures. Play the tape and Ss finish 1b to fill in the boxes with the cities. Ss match, listen and fill.Step 8 Practice Show some pictures of some cities with weather signs. Ask Hows the weather in .? or Whats the weather like in.? Ss answer the teachers questions and then ask and answer in groups , in pairs.A: Whats the weather like in Beijing/ ?B: Its raining/ sunny/Step 9 Listening Listen to the tape two or three times and number the pictures, then match the names with the activities. Check the answers. Ask several pairs of Ss to talk about the people in 2a with a partner.Step Summary The teacher asks the Ss to summarize what they learn in this period including words, target languages and word-making. Ss discuss in groups and then say out their results.Step10 Exercises Give some exercises and ask Ss to finish quickly, then check the answers. Step 11 Emotion education Ask Ss to watch some videos to realize the importance of
