Can you go to the movies on Saturday? Sure/Of course/Yes/Certainly,Id love to. Im sorry, Im not available. I have the flu./ I must meet my friends. 2. Ability aims:Students will be able to make invitations & accept and decline/refuse invitations.Students will be able to talk about obligations.3. Emotional aims:Ss will learn to the basic knowledge of communication, learn to invite others politely and decline other peoples invitations in social/daily life. Ss should understand other people and learn to have a good friendship with classmates and friends.The important points(教学重点)1. Ss can make invitations, accept and decline/refuse invitations2.Ss can use modal verbs correctly :canThe difficult points(教学难点)1.Students can make invitations correctly.2.Through listening and team cooperation, Ss can decline/refuse invitations and explain their reasons politely.教 学 过 程设计意图Review(激活旧知)1. Review the sentences.Would you like some coffee?Yes, please./No, thanks.2.Review the words and phrases: prepare, exam, doctor, flu, help, available, invite, another, prepare for, another timeWould you like some water? Yes, please./ No, thanks.1.Review the new words,phrases and sentences that students learned before.2.The revision will help to lead in the new knowledge.Lead in (导入)I. Lead in1.Lets dance together. 2.Show an invitation card.在大屏幕上向学生展示一张邀请函T: Hello, everyone! Yesterday I received an invitation letter from my dear friend; she invited me to go to her birthday party. But I had the flu yesterday. I must go to the doctor. I dont know how to do. What should I say? Dear students, can you help me? S: Ss try to help teachers answer the questions. At the moment, teacher can give some advice and information to lead them think about the answers.Then lead students to think about the reasons that they may refuse others invitations.At last, show the answers to all of the students.Presentation(新知)II. Presentation1. 引导学生们看大屏幕上邀请及肯定否定两个答语(1)Look at the expressions on the screen: “Sure, Id love to.” “Im sorry, I have to/must”. Read the expressions to the class and the students repeat each one. (2)Say, can you come to my party? S1 give “yes answers”.S2 give “no answers” and plus a reason. Ask students to give their own reasons. 2. 用汉语向学生说明回答别人邀请时,所作的两种类型的答复。3. Learn the phrases in 1a and explain the important points. prepare for an exam, help my parents, go to the doctor, meet my friend, have the flu.prepare v.准备 prepare to do sth./prepare for sth.available adj. S为sb(能够出席的,有时间做某事的)/S为sth(可用的,可获得的)invite v.邀请invite sb to do sth./ invite sb to sw. -invitation n. Thanks for your invitation.III. Lets watch a video (1b)Lets watch a video about this part.1. T: Now listen to the recording and write the names next to the correct students in the picture. 2. Play the recording for the first time. Students only listen. Play the recording a second time. Write the name of each person next to his or her picture.3. Check the answers with the Ss.IV. Game Time(1c)1. 学生看大屏幕上的转盘,根据转盘所停止位置的词组来做邀请与应答的游戏Use the phrases in 1a: prepare for an exam, help my parents, go to the doctor, meet my friend, have the flu.2. Students make their own conversations. Read the sentences in 2a. Tell Ss they will listen to some sentences. They should listen and circle the words “can” or “cant” in the bracket.2. Play the recording for the Ss to listen and circle the words.3. Play the recording again to check the answers.Work on 2b:1. Let Ss read the chart below. Tell Ss, this time they must write the reasons in the chart. Make sure they know what to do. 2. Play the recording for the Ss to write the reasons in the chart.3. Play the recording again to check the answers.VI. Group work (2c)1. Help students form groups of four. Say, one of you is student A. Student A invites the other three or four students to your birthday party. The other students say “yes” or “no”. Please remember to give a reason.2. Let the students work in groups.3. Let some groups ask and answer about their conversation.4. Each group shows their own conversation, then check which group is the best group.5.The best group will get the first prize.I.Lead in1.Its easy to dance together. V.Listening Part1.The video can arouse students interests.2.To improve Ss listening ability and consolidate the knowledge.VI. Group work 1.To help Ss to practice the sentence structure and consolidate the knowledge.2.To consolidate the new knowledge they learned in this class. 3.To help Ss put what they have learned to use. And improve their oral English.拓展:1. 当朋友邀请我们去做某事时,如果我们愿意做,应该说Sure,Id love to或Sure,That sounds great.拒绝他人的邀请时我们应该有礼貌地说Sorry,I must/have to (the reason).或者Im afraid not,I must/have to the reason).2. 句型拓展: (1)常用的表示邀请的句型还有: Would you like to?(你愿意?) /Could you please?(请你好吗?) 接受邀请的句型有: Certainly/Sure/Yes,Id love to./Thank you for inviting/ asking me. 拒绝邀请的句型有: Sorry, Im afraid not./Im not available./Im not fre
