Unit 4 TOPIC 1Page 83-84 Section D 14 Animals in DangerGood morning,honorable judges, I am *.I graduated from Fujian Normal University,Its my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you . The content of my lesson is from Section D 1-4,Unit 4, Book3.First , I will talk about my understanding of this section. This section is talking about wild animals and plants .As is known to all, many students are interested in wild animals, but they know little about them. In public, they tease animals, but they dont know how to protect them, this lesson gives some hints to the students. In the meanwhile, the students learn how to protect wild animals. I will divide my lesson into six parts.Part One :Teaching material analysis1 .Status And FunctionThis section focuses on a very important grammar pointcomparative and superlative degrees of adjectives,which they have to grasp.The passage start with interesting topic Animals in Danger, by this way, it is helpful to attract the attention of the students.Such a topic is related to protecting animals, that can help the students to realize more and more animals are in their extinction and what should we do to protect them. Ill ask students to seek as much as material from the internet. Its a novelty of this lesson2.Teaching objectives and Demands Knowledge Objectives: To master the usage of important words and phrasesAbility Objectives:To learn to talk about wild animals.Moral Objectives: To know the importance of protecting wild animals3. Teaching Key PointsNew words:bear ,wild,wolf,bamboo,land,whale,southwest,kill,A useful sentence:they feed on bamboo.4.Teaching Difficult pointsHow to use the comparative and superlative degrees of adjectivesPart Two Analysis of studentsThe students have formally learned English for over one year. They can only understand some words and some simple sentences. And ,this lesson is about wild animalss living state, the students have strong wish to protect them.so I will lead the students in the living state of the wild animals.Second , I will talk about my teaching theories, methods and aids.While dealing with this lesson, I will do my best to carry out the following opinion: Make the students the real masters in class while the teacher himself acts as a director; Combine the language structures with the language functions; students will receive some moral education while they are learning the English language.Part Three Teaching aids and methodsTeaching Aids : Computer and projector,blackboard.tape recording.Teaching Methods: “dialogue”teaching methodFor this,I will give my students a lot of pratice.Part Four Studying methodsEach unit in “project english ” contains many activities , some of which need to be finished by students independently and some by cooperation , for example , pairwork and say,the former which illustrated in the form of animated dialogue can develop students communicative competence.It can arouse students to think and say what they want to say Third , I will talk about my teaching steps. Now let me introduce my teaching procedure briefly. As we all know, “Well begun is half done.” A good beginning will not only warm the class up at once, but also give good preparation for presentation. As language is learnt gradually but not immediately, we will do some revision to strengthen students memory. As a memory activator, Ill try to find out the link between the old and the new. We can lead students by things such as pictures or other media. Part Five Teaching ProceduresStep 1 Review (8 minutes)Through the review of comparative and superlative degrees of adjectives, improve students ability of flexible use of language knowledge.Ask and answer:Review the comparative and superlative degrees of adjectives: T: Hello! S1:do you like the countryside or the city?S1:I like the countryside.T: Why?S1:Because the air is fresher, the sky is bluer, and there are also greener trees and clearer rivers.T:Hello! S2, do you like the countryside or the city?S2:T: Most of us like the countryside better. Do you like plants or animals? S3:I like the animals. T: Which kind of animal do you like best?S3:I like dogs best. T: Why?S3:Because they are more friendly than other animalsT: According to your talking, I know some students like animals better, and some students like plants better. Now who can tell us something about rainforests? S4, please.S4:Rainforests cover 6% of the earths surface, T: We know the rainforests are very important to us. In fact, water is also important to us. Please tell us the importance of water, S5.S5:Water is very important to all living things. All animals cant live at all without water. Water makes up the largest part of the human body, but water is becoming less and less, so we must save every drop of water.Step 2 presentation (10 minutes)Through the understanding of living conditions for pandas,blue whales,southwest tiger, developing students reading comprehension, enhance their awareness of protection of wild animals.Step 3 consolidation(10 minutes)Through repeating the passage,enhance students awareness of animal protection.Ask the students to listen to the tape and write down the key words:pandas: forests and mountains, bamboo, less and less land, fewer and fewer.Blue whales:. Chinese tigers:.after two minutes, I will ask the students to retell the key words above.Step 4 Practice (10 minutes)Further review of the comparative and superlative degrees of adjectives, improve students ability to use language knowledge.Step 5 project(6 minutes)Through animals and plants, and discussion of the importance of water resources in the countryside and in the
