Unit 4 When is Easter ?B read and write .教材分析:本课内容是Sarah的日记,主要记录小猫的成长过程。学生经过月份学习和日期的表达后,通过日记的形式来记录生活中有趣的事情。本课以小猫为例,为学生展示了小动物从孕育到出生,从出生到长大的整个生命历程,渗透生命意识和亲情教育。本节课教学重点在于阅读方法的指导、表达的训练,如何从文中获取有效信息。通过学习,能了解日记的格式,并模仿着写,记录有意义的事情。教学目标:知识、能力目标1. 能够听、说、读、理解kitten,fur, still 和make noises 等生词。2. 能读懂并理解日记,能按意群正确地朗读日记。3. 能根据图片想象,在阅读中尝试捕捉关键词,寻找答案。4. 能在学习过程中感受日记的格式及表达方法。情感目标:能理解小猫咪的成长过程,进而了解更多动、植物的成长,增长见识。教学重难点:重点:读懂Sarah的日记;阅读和表达策略的培养。难点:对小动物、植物从孕育到出生,从出生到长大的生命历程有一定的背景了解。教学准备:课件、相关视频、活动图片教学过程:Step 1 :greetings and free-talk(课前)相互了解:Im your new teacher today , how are you ? Whats the date today ? In last period you talked about birthday, so can you tell me when is your birthday ? And your family members /Jisus/birthday ? Do you know when is Thanksgiving day ?-Its on the fourth Thursday in November .(设计意图:通过简单的交流拉近师生的距离,同时也复习了前两课时关于序数词的知识点,为后面的学习做好铺垫。)Step 2:warm-up and lead in .1)“brain storm” about the 26 English letters to review the ordinal numbers in last two periods .(设计意图:通过快速反应找出26个英语字母的位置,快节奏的反应既检测了学生前两课时的学习效果又激发了学生的学习兴趣)2) enjoy a song :“The Baby Animals Song”T: What animals do you see? Can you remember?S: I see theT: We can see many animals and baby animals, we call the baby dog puppy, we call the baby cat kitten. Puppy will grow up into dog. Lamb will grow up into sheep. Kitten will grow up into cats. Today , our topic is about growing. See how they grow. (设计意图:欣赏关于成长的歌曲,让学生感受自然界成长变化的过程,歌曲简单易唱,激发了学生英语学习的兴趣,生动有趣)Step 3:presentation (pre-reading)1) lead in T:Sarah likes animals very much. She has a cat. The cats has two babies. How do we call baby cats?S: Kittens.T: Sarah likes kitten very much. So she keeps diaries about them.2)about dairy (1)show the diary and read the dates. T: These are Sarahs diaries. There are four days ,so can you read the dates ?S: April 15th, April 21st, April 26th, May 3rd.3) task 1 :read the text quickly and choose the photo for every diary .T: And Sarah often takes photos .For every dairy, there is photo. Can you arrange them? S: ADBCT: Why ? Maybe you are right.(设计意图:通过粗度文本,让学生对全篇日记有大概了解,并能完成相应的简单任务)Step4: While-reading1.The first diary.(listen and say.)T: Look at the first photo. Whats the date? S: April 15th.T: Yes, on April 15th. What are they like? Lets listen together .(设计意图:通过听引导学生找出小猫成长的关键词,老师可提出引导性问题:what colour are they ?Can they see ?. 检测对课文的理解和从文中获取信息的能力.)2. the second/third/fourth diary (task 2 :listen and find out how the kittens grow ?)The second diary :T:After some days ,they grow up ,so how old are the kittens on April 21st ?S:They are six days old . T:What are they like on April 21st ? S:They have white fur now .(解释fur ,并稍作实例解释) T:What can they do on this day ? S: They can make noses when they are hungry.(播放猫叫吵闹声,帮助学生理解生词make noises)(设计意图:通过问答找出关于小猫成长的关键词句,既可以开动学生的思维,又很轻巧的解决了文中的难点) 3. The third diary Listen and follow (这一部分内容较简单,所以由学生听音跟读,自己体会) 4. The fourth diary Listen and fill in the blanks .T:Time flies,the kittens are growing and growing ,what can they do now ?Please listen and fill in the blanks .Eg: The kittens can walk now .They can play with Robin .(设计意图:通过听,让学生完成短篇填空,可以轻松检测学生听的效果)5. time for reading(首先听音跟读,之后让学生自由地读一读故事,注意语音语调。选择一则日记声情并茂地读一读,老师要适当对学生的语音语调进行指导。)Step 5:1.writing task T:We know today is October 29th,so how old are the kittens now ?S:They are six months old .T:Y,so what are they like and what can they do ? Try to imagine and write a diary for today .(设计意图:让学生想象若干月后小猫的成长变化,写之前学生交流想象内容,老师可提供图片提示,开拓学生的思维和想象能力并学着写日记。) 2.show your diary Step 6 : consolidation and extention 1) enjoy a story (the very very hungry caterpillar )(设计意图:欣赏绘本故事,课才用学生自读形式,让学生再次体会动植物的成长变化过程,用非常有趣的毛毛虫故事,可以吸引学生学习兴趣,同时也检测了学生的语言输出效果) 2)activities:1.colour the caterpillar 2. Ordinal numbers hotel (help the kids to find their rooms)3.medal tally of the Olympics(根据奥运会金牌榜完成表格练习)Color the seventh part pink .Color the first part green .Color the eleventh part blue .Color the fifth part yellow .Color the eighth part white.Color the tenth part orange .Color the fourteenth part purple .1.Lisa the fifth floor and the third room 2.Tim the seventh floor and the fifth room 3.Ted the ninth floor and the first room 4.Kimi the fifteenth floor and the fourth room 5.Dora the eighteenth floor and the second room 6.Joy the thirtieth floor and the third room 1.
