PEP(四下)Unit 5 My clothes第二课时教学设计杭州市余杭区育才实验小学 戚瑛Teaching contentPEP (四下)Unit 5 Part A Lets learn & Lets doAnalysisofTeachingMaterials本单元围绕“衣物”这一话题展开,本课时主要教授“clothes,hat,skirt,dress,shirt,pants”等单词,及表达喜好的句型“I like. ”,同时需引导学生区别单复数。结合Unit 3中的“天气”话题,设置了本课时的语境和情境不同的天气外出旅行需选择不同的衣物。通过这一贴近生活实际的语境和情境,引导学生感知词汇和句型的语义及语用情境,进而运用功能句型向他人描述自己喜欢的服饰,最后为旅行选择合适的衣物并且进行搭配。同时,本课时课型为词汇课,根据音意形的原理,引导学生通过听音,运用已学字母组合进行单词拼读,帮助学生架构语言知识体系,将语音词汇知识相结合,发展语言技能,循序渐进,学以致用。本课时的语言实践活动符合学生的认知水平和生活经验,有助于发展语言与思维能力,真正培养学生的核心素养。Analysis of learning condition四年级的学生已掌握一定的词汇、语音知识,能理解并运用天气等话题,相互交流自己的情感,表达喜好。好奇于未知事物、乐于表现自己也是该年龄段学生特有的心理特点。在之前的单元学习中,学生已了解到不同的城市有着不同的典型天气。同时,“不同的天气穿不同的衣服”这一常识,也符合他们的认知水平和生活经验。本课时呈现了“不同的旅行目的地,有着不同的天气,需要选择不同的衣物”这一情境,贴近学生的生活实际,为其提供了广阔的思维空间,接近现实生活中语言使用的实际情况。Teaching aimsAfter the class, the students will be able to 1. Free talk1) Whats the weather like today?2) Is it hot? 3) Can I put on a hat?( Intention: To review the topic of weather.) 2. Guessing game Complete the information about teachers self introduction. 1) Age Miss Qi is 26 years old. 2) Colour Miss Qi likes pink . 3) Hobby Miss Qi likes cooking and travel .( Intention: To lead in the topic of travel.)Step 2:Presentation & Practice1. Teachers travel :T introduces her travel experience T presents a map and shows three places of Harbin, Taipei and Qinghai. Discuss weather condition with some photos. Harbin: cold and snowy Taipei: hot and sunny Qinghai:cool and cloudy( Intention: To enrich geographic knowledge. To inspire Ss to go for a travel. To tell Ss that the weather is different in different places.)2. Travel tips: Choose clothes for a travel according to the weatherT guides Ss to talk about travel and prepare clothes for a travel according to the weather.1) -Travel is so happy. Where do you want to go? -I want to go to .2) -What do you need during a travel? - I need . (money/map/phone/clothes.)3) -How can we choose clothes for a travel? -we can choose clothes according to the weather.( Intention: Guide Ss know that they need to prepare clothes for a travel according to the weather.) 3. Choose clothes for the travel to Haihan (lead in new words) T introduces her travel plan to go to Hainan and asks Ss to help her choose suitable clothes.1) hat h t Ss listen and fill “a”.T emphasizes the usage of “that”, I like that .T encourages Ss to dress up. S1: I like that yellow hat. Put on that yellow hat. S2: I like that blue hat. Take off that yellow hat. Put on that blue hat. S3:.Ss choose hats for hot days and cold days.( Intention: To guide Ss complete words according to the phonics rules. To guide Ss to set the awareness of choosing suitable hat according to different weather and present with key sentence pattern.)2) dress & skirt dr ss sk t Ss listen and fill “e” and “ir”. Distinguish dress and skirt. The dress is long, but the skirt is short.( Intention: To guide Ss complete words according to the phonics rules. To guide Ss to compare the dress and the skirt and present the difference with English that theyve learned. )3) Shirt & T-shirt sh t Ss listen and fill “ir”.T guides Ss to classify the shirts into three kinds, one for hot days, one for cold days, and the last for the cool and warm days.Distinguish shirt and T-shirt.( Intention: To guide Ss use life experience in English class and use the English language to present ideas. )4)pantsT shows photos about a girl and boy, and Ss try to observe, describe and guess.This girl like T-shirt and dress, but the boy likes T-shirt and pants.p nts Ss listen and fill “a”.Ss choose dresses with the sentence pattern “ I like those .” T emphasize the usage of “those” and guide Ss to understand.( Intention: To guide Ss distinguish “that” and “those”.)4. Lets doT shows a pair of dirty pants and guide Ss to wash them and then put them away.Wash, wash, wash the pants.Hang up, hang up, hang up the pants.Put away, put away, put away the pants.T: Wash, wash.Ss: Wash the pants.( Intention: To guide Ss listen to the instructions and do the gesture according to TPR .)5. Put away teachers clothes for HainanSs speak out the new words by the pictures.( Intention: To check the learning condition about the new words.) Step 3:Consolidation& Extension1. Choose clothes for your own travel1) T shows the map of China again and guide Ss to choose a place to go and prepare their own clothes.First, T sets a demonstration.I want to go to Hainai. Its hot and sunny.I like that red dress,white hat and those red shoes and blue sunglasses.1. Sss dreams: Group workT shows a girl on PPT and guides Ss to dress her up by the multimedia equipment.2) Group discussionT shows pictures about two closet, one is for girls and another is for boys.
