Emotion aims: 1.Students should not spend too much time on computer games and should eat more fruit and vegetables. 2.Cooperate with others and communicate with partners. Key points: 1.New words: potatoes, green beans 2.Sentence patterns: Look at the Theyre so The are Difficult points: Plural forms of nouns and the sounds of “s” or “es”.Teaching aids: 1.Multimedia 2.Flashcards 3.Word cardsTeaching procedures:.Warm-up 1.Free talk What day is it today? Hows the weather today? 2.Sing a song.Revision: (CAI) Show a farm with some big apples and small pears on it.Point to the apples and review “big”.Then point to the pears and review “samll”.Presentation: 1.Introduce:Look at the (CAI) Show some vegetables on the farm.Introduce “tomatoes”. Point to the tomatoes and say:“Look at the tomatoes”.Write“Look at the” on the blackboard.Then read the sentence after the teacher. 2.Introduce:Theyre so Point to the totamoes and say:“The tomatoes are so big.Theyre so big” .Write “Theyre so ”on the blackboard.Then read the sentences after the teacher. 3.Introduce:The are (CAI) Show some carrots on the farm and say:“Look at the carrots.Theyre so small.The carrots are small.” Write “The are ” on the blackboard. Then read after the teacher. 4.Introduce:potato Show a potato and ask:“Is this a tomato? No,it is a potato.”Spell the word “potato” and read after the teacher. Practice “Look at the Theyre so” using the word “potatoes”. 5.Introduce: green bean Show a banana and review “long”.Then show a green bean.Write “green bean”on the blackboard and read after the teacher. Practice “Look at the Theyre” using “green beans”.Practice 1.Ask students to open their books and listen to the recording. 2.(CAI) Show some pictures and have students make dialogs.Consolidation and extension 1.Chant 1).Ask students to listen to the chant. 2).Introduce:onions Show an onion and cut it.Then say:Onions make me cry.” Read the word after the teacher. 3).Ask students to chant together. 2.Emotional education: Dont spend too much time on computer games and eat more fruit and vegetables.
