Ss understand the sentence structure “Whats the weather like in .”教学重点:The new words mentioned above.教学难点:The sentence structure mentioned above.教学准备:A world map, flash cards, tape and recorder, poster of lets learn.教学过程:Stage 1: warming up.Step 1: Ss greet the teacher.Step 2: Ss review what theyve learnt last time.Step 3: T puts up the poster of lets learn.Step 4: Ss are leaded into the new lesson by understanding the world map and world weather.Step 5: Ss listen to the chant T prepared for them and understand it, then get further understanding about clothes and weather. (The chant: Open up your umbrella,Hold on to your hat,Put on your sunglasses,Put on your boots,Take your raincoat.)Stage 2: Presentation and Practice.Step 1: Ss listen to the tape of lets learn and catch the main meaning of the weather report.Step 2:T presents the new words about weather.Step 3: Ss learn the new words after the teacher.Step 4: Ss read the new words after the teacher correctly (each words for three times).Step 5: Ss read out loud the new words on the flash cards T shows to them and get further memory.Step 6: T explains the new sentence structure mentioned in the weather report, Ss get to understand the sentence structure.Step 7: Ss try to use the new sentence structure by doing Lets Play. (Try to make more sentences like:1. Whats the weather like in Kunming?Its cold and windy.2. Whats the weather like in Harbin?Its hot and sunny.3. Whats the weather like in Shanghai?Its cloudy.4. Whats the weather like in Qingdao?Its cold and snowy.5. Whats the weather like in Guiyang?Its rainy.)Stage 3: Summary and Homework.Step 1: Ss summarize what they have learnt today with Ts help.Step 2: T assigns the homework. (To write the new w
