First, lets watch a video about the weather, you can sing along.The teacher says, “ Its funny, do you like it? Hows the weather? means Whats the weather like?”.Show the picture and ask“Whats the weather like in Jinan today?” (【设计意图】:播放视频是为了让学生对本节课有大致了解,出示济南天气手机截图,用贴近生活的方式导入本课,让学生更熟悉更放松。)Step2.Presentation Show another picture of Beijing , ask the students, “Where is it?/Whats the weather like in Bejing?” (teach “windy”)Show the picture of Sydney, “Whats the weather like in Sydney?” the temperature is 20. Its hot and sunny.(teach “sunny and Sydney”.(【设计意图】:通过出示各个城市的图片,让学生由浅入深,逐步学习单词的同时了解各国人文信息,可拓展学生的知识面。师生对话也为之后学生之间的对话打基础。)Step 3.Practice“There is a world map, We have learned 5 cities, do you know where they are.” Show the cities on the map,then ask the students to work in pairs.4minutes later, the teacher asks the students to work in pairs according to the weather on the world map.The teacher gives a summary and show how the noun changes into the adjective.(【设计意图】:本环节通过世界地图完成对话练习,给学生创造实际情境,让学生尽可能的多说多练,为后面的拓展做准备。对词形变化做简单总结,通过动态图让学生进一步明确这些形容词的构成,以及跟名词之间的关系。引导学生养成及时总结的好习惯。)Step4.操练和拓展Lets have a rest and enjoy some pictures.(配乐)Show the pictures of Jinan, Sanya, and Harbin, and talk about the weather and what the people there have done. “Spring is coming. In Jinan, everything turns green. People go outside to see the spring, the flowers and go to the Quancheng Square to fly a kite. They also ride a bike. Its warm in Jinan.And in Sanya, people go to the beaches and enjoy the sunshine, they put on the sunglasses , T-shirts and shorts. Because its very hot and sunny in Sanya.However, in Harbin its very cold. Its full of snow and its all white. But its also very beautiful. People go to see the ice sculpture, and make a snowman, they have to put on the hat and gloves. Because its very cold outside.)(【设计意图】:通过让学生欣赏济南、哈尔滨、三亚的图片来感知同一季节全国各地的天气各不相同,并学会用简短的词语描述什么样的天气适合做什么样的活动。这个环节为之后的角色体验做铺垫。)Step 5.职前培训 The teacher says, “Just now we learned about the weather in some places. Now lets learn to give a weather report . And do you know how to be a good weather reporter? You should pay attention to the pronunciation , expression, action and self-confidence. Do you have self- confidence? Ask the students to stand up, and teach them the actions.One:smilingTwo:put your hands hereThree: point at the map (【设计意图】:为了规范学生在最后环节的展示,设计职前培训环节,通过one two three 的简单口令,让学生明白作为天气预报员的要领,简单培训消除学生的恐惧心理,为最后展示做铺垫。)Step6. Role playThe teacher says,“Now,do you have self-confidence? 4 students a group, and give a weather report to each other ,and Ill ask the best one to come here to show. Please take out the piece of paper.”(【设计意图】:在掌握知识的同时逐步培养学生综合运用英语的能力,学会用英语播报天气,从而达到综合运用语言的教学目的。每组选出最好的进行展示,既调动了优等生的积极性,也给中下游同学充分的练习时间。)Step7.德育渗透Show the pictures of the earth and the air, tell the students our earth is getting warmer and warmer, the air is worse and worse. We should do something to protect the environment.Ask the students to think about the ways to protect the environment. For example, ride a bike, plant more trees, save water, save the paper , recycle and so on.(【设计意图】:了解各地天气情况的同时,了解全球大环境,全球变暖,空气污染严重,呼吁大家及时采取绿色环保行动,保护环境,从我做起。)Step8.HomeworkGive a weather report to their parents.板书设计: Unit 3 Weather B.Lets learnCloudy worldWindy SingaporeRainy LondonSunny MoscowSnowy SydneyThe students watch a video and sing the song .The students answer, “Its cool and cloudy.” and read the degree.Look at the picture and answer the questions.The students practise the dialogue for 4 minutes and work in pairs.Enjoy the music and pictures.Review the phrases:See the
