地位越来越重要 高质量的电影字幕翻译能为外 语片锦上添花 吸引更多的观众 不仅让观众得到更好的享受 而且也能更好地促进不同 文化的传播和交流 作为一项新兴的翻译领域 电影字幕翻译取得了令人瞩目的成果 欧洲由于其语言格 局的特殊性 理论研究开展的较为广泛和深入 在翻译策略 翻译规范和质量控制方面都 形成了一定的共识和规范 然而 国内目前对于电影字幕翻译这一特殊领域的重视显然远 远不够 学术研究滞后 译者水平参差不齐等一系列问题都严重影响了中文电影字幕翻译 的水平 理论上 规范电影字幕翻译的理论尚未成熟和完善 实践上 电影字幕翻译的质 量还有待于提高 本文尝试从目的论的角度对英文影片的字幕汉译进行研究 以期对提高电影字幕翻译 质量有所借鉴 根据功能翻译理论中的 目的论 翻译过程的至高原则是该翻译活动本 身的目的 因此电影字幕翻译是一种有目的的行为 电影字幕翻译的主要目的是在时间和 空问的制约下 向处在特定文化背景中的观众最有效的传达相关信息 使其能够更好的理 解和欣赏电影作品 从而吸引更多的观众观看电影 以此获得更高的票房收益 为了实现 字幕翻译的目的 翻译人员必须在重视不同文化现象的同时 在具体的翻译实践中遵循相关 的翻译原则 采取特定的翻译策略 全文共分六个部分 第一部分介绍了研究的背景 意义 目的 全文的结构和研究方 法 第二部分是文献阐述 第三部分主要讨论了电影字幕的特点和功能 第四部分介绍了 全文的理论基础 目的论 并提出将目的论运用于电影字幕翻译的可行性 同时在第三 章所探讨的电影字幕功能的基础上提出了相应的原则以指导实践 第五部分根据电影字幕 翻译的特点和原则提出了合适的翻译策略并举例进行了分析 第六部分总结全文 并提出 了 些建议以供有兴趣的学者在电影字幕翻译领域做出进一步的研究 从目的论的角度研究英文影片的字幕汉译是本文的出发点 电影字幕翻译的原则和策
