Lead-in:(1) Present some pictures T: Look at the pictures. Whats this?Ss: Its a football.T: Yes. And whats this?Ss: Its a basketball.T: Whats the difference between them? The football is .Ss: Big.T: The basketball is .Ss: Small.(Use the same way to compare tall-short, thin-heavy/fat and long hair-short hair)Write them on the blackboard.(2) Finish 1a. Match each word with its opposite.tall - short; thin - heavy; long hair - short hair; quietly - loudly. Presentation (Look at the pictures)T: We all know the football is big and the basketball is small, right?Ss: Yes. T: Thats to say the football is _ _ the basketball. They are Tara and Tina, Tom and Sam, Paul and Peter. Now, look at the picture, listen and number them. Write the numbers in the blanks. Are you clear? Ss: Yes. T: OK. Lets listen. Check the answers.
