Hes a weatherman.Step 2 Presentation 1. Present “weather” from Bobs job. Guide students to say it. Students know how to pronounce “-ther” by reading “father” “mother” “brother”.2. Students are known of requirements for being a little weather reporter: pass memory texts, read the maps and report the weather. 3. Play the video. Students watch and try to remember the cities and temperatures.4. Present “warm” and “cool”. Students recall the words and fill in the blanks. “Its in Beijing today. Its 20 degrees centigrade.” “Its in Lhasa today. Its 15 degrees centigrade.” Show pictures to make students feel “warm”. Give students a hug to make them feel “warm”. And present the pattern “Its warm.” Students spell it with teacher and read it.Read the words: warm, war, warp, and the sentence “Its warm in Beijing today.” Show pictures to make students feel “cool”. And present the pattern “Its cool.” Students spell it with teacher and read it. 5. Guide students to say “degrees centigrade”6. Present “warm” and “cold”. Students recall the words and fill in the blanks. “Its in Harbin today. Its degrees centigrade.” “Its in Hong Kong today. Its degrees centigrade.” Show pictures to make students feel “cold”. And present the pattern “Its cold.” Students spell it with teacher and read it. Step 3 Practice1. Enjoy the chant. Do actions with teacher. Then teacher say and students do. Ask some students to say sentences, the others do actions.2. Read the map and judge.3.
