Its so_.【Learning Process】Step1: Warm-up/Revision (1) Watch a video and listen to a song about the animals.T: Good morning, boys and girls!(Greeting)Ss: Good morning, Miss Zuo!T: Look! I have a monkey!Ss: Wow! Its nice!T: Thanks.T: Today we are going to talk about the zoo and animals. Now lets enjoy a song.(2) Lets chantT: Boys and girls. Whats the video about?T: Yes, its about the animals. Lets review something about animals weve learnt before. Lets chant!Ss: Great!(3) Review the words of animalsListen to the voice of the animals and observe some partial animals pictures to guess what animal is it. Present some pictures of: tiger, monkey, elephant, duck, dog.Step 2: Presentation (1) Go on to present the picture of giraffe(A small one and big one)T: Today we have a new friend. Who?Ss: Giraffe.Sentence:Wow! Look at that giraffe. Its so tall! (Teacher points to the baby giraffe and lets students to describe it in the same way.) T: How about this baby giraffe?Ss: Its short/small.T: Wow! Look at that baby giraffe. Its short/small.(2) Students read after the teacher.Boys and girls. Look at that men. He is so tall.Look at that girl. She is so cute.Look at the blackboard now.Look at this word.(3) Go on to present some pictures about animals.Students use the sentence pattern“Look at that/this/the. Its so.” to describe animals.Present the adjectives in the sentences in the same way. (tall, short, thin, fat)(4) Present two pictures of monkeys. (A fat one and a thin one) Students make comparisons and read the sentence:Be fat. Be fat. Be fat, fat, fat.Present following sentences in the same way: “Be thin. Be thin. Be thin, thin, thin.Students imitate prior sentences and guess the following sentence:Be short. Be short. Be short, short ,short.Be tall. Be tall. Be tall, tall, tall.(5) Play the video of“Lets do”. Teacher teaches students to chant, then students chant together. Step 3:Practice (1) Lets play a game: Act and guessTeacher lets one student come to the front of the classroom, then tell him or her a word quietly (fat, tall, short, thin), then the student do some actions, the others guess which word is it, then guess which sentence is it.(2) Lets check!Teacher presents four pictures, students choose different one to answer the questions. ( The questions are about describing the animals.)(The group that the student belongs to will get different score.)(3) Pair-work: draw and say Draw your favorite animal and describe it.Look at my ! Its so !Teacher: Look at my panda. Its so cute. Its short and fat. It s from China. I like it!Or: Look at my monkey. Its so small. Its short. It likes bananas.(4) Lets go to the zoo! (group-work) (Students post the animals cards on the blackboard.)T: Come, children. Lets go to the zoo. Look at the panda. Wow! Its so fat. Look at the rabbit. Wow! Its so small. Look at the giraffe. Wow! Its so tall. Look at the elephant. Wow! Its so big. Look at the monkey. Wow! Its so funny. Can you introduce them?(Teacher gives demonstration first then join the conversations of students)PPT shows:A: Look at that monkey. Its fat.B: Look at this monkey. Its thin.C: Yes. Look at that giraffe. Its so tall.A: Wow! A baby giraffe.B&C: Its so short.(5) Students give presentation.Step 4: Consolidation(1) Students describe the animals on the PPT.(2) Students watch a video. ( Topic:Protect animals. )(3) Sharing: Animals are our good friends./Animals are so lovey. Please love them. (Students share more things on protecting animals.)NotesThe song also can be played before the class.chant and do the actions twice.Teacher gives students some oral comments, like“great, super, good job, well done.”Students rush to answer.Students talk about what we cant do at the zoo.T should give Ss exaggerate demonstration.Pay attention to the tone of this sentence.Practice sentences for several times.students also can use“the, this, that”.Pay attention to the rhythm when they chant.Pay attention to students safety when they do the actions.Teacher gives demonstration to students first, and draw the pictures on the blackboard.Game ru
