Teaching procedures. Step 1. Warm-up1. Sing a song: Boy and girl. 2. Greetings with the whole class. Step 2. Presentation. 1. Lead-in. T: Last term, Miss Zhang took you to this zoo. Do you still remember? (Present a picture of a zoo. )Ss: Yes. T: Today, lets go back to the zoo. Lets go. 2. Present the pictures of animals in the zoo. T: What animals can you see? Ss: I see a monkey/cat/ dog/bird/ panda/tiger. T: Yes, youre very clever. Now follow me: tiger,tiger,its a tiger. . 3. Teach the new words. Tall 1) T: Today we have a new friend. Then ask some students to read it. )2) Enjoy the video of “Lets chant” of the unit 2. short 1) Present a picture of “two giraffes.” T: Look at that mother giraffe, its tall. Look at that baby giraffe: “Its short.” (teach and read this word one by one.)2) Compare the “giraffe” with the “panda” ,“mother”and “son” “Look at that .
