Grand 8(A) Unit2 How often do you exercise?Section B 3a-Self check曾永乐教学目标1. 知识目标 复习频率副词和短语:always, usually, often, sometimes, hardly ever, never, more than three times a week掌握并运用本课重点词汇:good /bad habits, exercise, read books, drink juice, stay up late, help with housework, go to the dentist,掌握本课重点句型:how often? how many hours? And the sentences about frequency.2. 能力目标培养学生运用有关的词汇和句型来谈论做某事的频率,并在教学环节中侧重提高学生的写作能力,同时在写作中注意语法和行文的逻辑性。3. 情感目标通过讨论课本内容来让学生思考什么是好习惯什么是坏习惯,并在自己的学习生活中加以区分,坚持好的习惯,改掉坏习惯。学情分析本单元section B第三课时是在掌握之前的学习内容后侧重写作的一堂课,书面表达是很多学生觉得很难的一项。到了八年级,班上学生的学习能力出现了严重的两极分化,在考察学生输出能力这一块表现得尤其突出。教学重难点教学重点:掌握重点词汇和句型以及表达频率的句子。教学难点:能正确运用频率副词和短语来讨论问题,并且在句子使用第一人称和第三人称和不同时态中能正确运用动词的形态。教学过程Step1 Warming up1) Brain-storming map. Give “habit” to students; then ask them to think about the relevant word. habit-good/bad habits-eating/writing/reading/studying habit-read books every day/eat breakfast/ brush teeth after eating/ eat fast food /watch TV2) Look at the health quiz on activity 4, do it with partners. And practice the special question “how often/ how many hours?”Step 2 Learning1) The text on activity 3aa) Read the words and phrases in the chart on activity 3a. Use this information to make students own sentences.For example: I usually read books. Linda goes to the dentist once a year.b) Read the information in the chart and complete the report. And ask the students to share the answers.c) Explain the key points for students.2) Writing a) List students own habits (include good or bad habits) in the chart on activity 3b. Write down how often they do.b) Use these information to write three or five sentences as follow:I eat vegetables every day.I hardly ever help with housework.c) Share the sentences with others.d) Teacher gives a short report as an example to students. Ask them to find how to write the beginning and the ending after reading the example or the report on activity 3a.e) Ask students to write their own beginning and ending.f) Make these sentences into a whole report.3) Group workShare the report with each other and check them.Step 3 Summarize1) Ask students to retell their partners report.
