6B Unit 3 Last Weekend (Section B Period 2).Talking about the teaching contents(教学内容分析)In Unit 3 ,students will talk about past events by using the Simple Past Tense.They will learn the special questions ,the declarative sentences and the general questions such as What did you do last weekend ? I visited my grandparents/went fishing/.Did you clean your room/go to a park/.? Yes ,I did./No,I didnt.This period is the second period of Section B in Unit 3.It includes the most important sentences in Unit 3.It can carry forward in a new paragraph.On the one hand,students have learned the Simple Past Tense of regular verbs in Section A. But in Section B,they will learn the Simple Past Tense of irregular verbs,such as go-went,read-read.On the other hand,students will go on learning the Simple Past Tense in Unit 4.So,learning Unit 3 well is very important.And learning Section B in Unit 3 is more important to students.Talking about students situation(学情分析)Talking about past events is one of the most interesting tops for students.We can design some activities to interest students,such as showing flashcards ,games ,pairwork ,group work ,interviewing and so on. So that ,students can take part in the activities actively and learn English well. About the old and new knowledge ,students have learned the Simple Past Tense of regular verbs in Section A and they have touched three kinds of sentences: special questions ,general questions and declarative sentences.So when they learn the Simple Past Tense of irregular verbs ,they will find that it is not so difficult. But about the changes of verbs ,some students may make some mistakes in spoken English ,such as the pronunciation of the past form of read, the forms of verbs in special questions ,general questions and declarative sentences.So students need more practice . If they practice more , I am sure that they can make great progress.Talking about the multimedia (多媒体资源的选择与运用)1. Show the song on the screen and get students to sing along with it.This can make students be interested in learning English.2. Show pictures on the screen ,then learn the verbs and the past forms of the verbs.3. Make up conversations by using the pictures on the screen.4. Show some questions on the screen before listening to the conversation in order to improve students listening skills.5. Show some exercises on the screen and improve students target languages.Talking about the teaching aims(教学目标分析)1. Talk with some students like this:T:What did you do last weekend ?A:I.T:Did you .?B:Yes ,I did ./No ,I didnt .(设计意图:以歌曲“At the zoo”导入新课,不仅能营造宽松的英语氛围,而且能调动学生的学习积极性。学生们在歌唱的同时,还可以体会一般过去时态的句型结构,为复习目标语言埋下伏笔。)Step 2 Presentation1.Show some pictures on the screen and teach the phrases. Then teach the past forms of some verbs by reading . go fishing clean the room go swimming (went fishing) (cleaned the room ) (went swimming) do homework read books wash some clothes(did homework) (read books ) (washed some clothes)2.Game:Find friends .Call some students to stand in front of the class .Then give each student a flashcard and call them to find their friends like this: go fishing-went fishing ,watch TV-watched TV.3.Call some boys and girls to write down the past forms of the verbs on the blackboard. Get students to look at the four pictures carefully and call some to answer the questions like this :T:Look at Picture 1. What did John do yesterday ?A:He went to a park .T:Look at Picture 2. What did he do ?B:He watched TV .2. Play the tape .Students listen and circle what they hear .3. Play the tape again and check with students .(设计意图:训练听力之前,先看图回答问题,既可以复习句型,也可以让学生有更多的时间来做准备。这有利于提高学生们听力的正确率。)4.Get students to close books .Show a picture of Mike on the screen and ask “Who is he ?”-He is Mike .Say:Imagine you are Mike. Listen to the conversation without books and find out the answers to the questions .What did you do yesterday ?Did you read books ?Did you clean you room ?Then show the questions on the screen and play the tape twice .5.Call some students to answer the questions .At the same time ,show these answers on the screen .6.Play the tape again .Students listen and repeat .7.Practice reading the conversation in different ways: T-Ss, Boys-Girls ,Pair work .8.Call some pairs to practice in class .The one who plays Mike can wear a face of Mike .9.Show some pictures on the screen .Students try to make up some new conversations in pairs .Then call some to show in class . Did you go hiking on the weekend ? After he/she answers,present : What did he /she do on the weekend ? Did he /she go hiking on the weekend ? Yes,he /she did . No,he /she didnt . At the same time ,write down the sentences on the blackboard and practice reading .2.Practice with some students .3.Pair work . Ask and answer using the information in the survey like this :Did you ? Yes,I did ./No,I didnt .Did Tom ? Yes,he did ./No,he didnt .Did Mary ? Yes,she did ./No,she didnt .As students practice ,walk around and talk with some students.Make sure they can use the sentences correctly .4.Game :A good reporter.Say : Do you want to be a good reporter ?Now I have a job for you as a reporter .Then call some students to be reporters to interview someone by using the target languages .(设计意图:利用调查表中的信息来进行Pair work,可以把一般过去时的几种人称都训练到,有利于知识的整合,有利于提高学生的综合表达能力。在Interviewing这一环节中,学生们都想秀一秀,这将会掀起课堂教学的另一轮高潮。)Step 6 HomeworkComplete the sentences using the words given .Then check with students .1.
