西安高新逸翠园学校“3+1学习共同体”增值教学研讨课教学设计教师张丽红班级7(4)授课类型听说课课题Unit 9 What does he look like?版本人教版授课时间2017年5月10日课时安排第一课时一、学情分析学生有一定的英语基础,能够简单的描述人物外貌,而且学生对英语兴趣极大,很乐意参与英语课堂的活动。大部分学生乐于在课堂上用英语表达自己的想法。二、教材分析本单元以描述人的外表为话题,旨在通过本单元的教学使学生学会使用“What does he/she look like?”的句型询问别人的外表;用英语描述别人的发型,身高,身材以及其它特征。并能学以致用,用所学知识描述自己的朋友,喜欢的老师及演员的等。三、教学目标知识与能力Learn the new words about peoples looks and Learn to describe peoples looks. 过程与方法创设情景, 小组讨论, 话题展示情感态度价值观让学生学会友好、客观地描述人的形象。四、教学重难点教学重点掌握单词,熟练掌握描述人的形象的句型。教学难点1. 熟练掌握询问和描述外表的句型。2. 能正确运用所学形容词描述他人。五、思维品质培养目标创新思维六、教学方法与手段任务型教学,PPT,听说读写七、教学过程设计教师活动预设学生行为Part 1 Lead-in &warm-upStep 1 Play a short music about TF-boys. And invite three students to dance with it. Step 2 Then guides students to talk about the three singers. Lead out the topic : describe peoples looks. Part 2 New wordsStep 1 Show different pictures about peoples looks: height, build and hair. Then write them on the blackboard. Step 2 Guides students to talk about the key sentences about peoples looks.A: What does he/she look like?B: He / She is tall/short/of medium height. He / She is heavy/thin/of medium build. He / She has long/short/straight/curly hair.Part 3 Pair work Step 1 Show an example about describing peoples looks.A: What does he/she look like?B: He / She is .He / She has Step 2 Guides students to work in pairs and make similar conversations about stars, teachers, classmates and friends.Step 3 Invite some volunteers to show their conversations to the class.Part 4 Listening Step 1 Look at 1b pictures and guides students to talkabout picture first: Amy will meet her friend. Guides students to listen and fill in the blanks on their task paper.Step 2 Check the answers with students and then read the conversations. Next, guides students to find out who is Amys friend? Step 3 Work on 2a. Listen and circle the answers. Then listen again and finish 2b. Then describe David, Sally, Peters appearances according to the information of 2b. Part 5 Game: Who is in your mind?Teacher guides students to choose a person from the picture first and then describe the person, after that others guess who is in his/her mind?Part 6 Challenge Teacher shows “TALL SHORT HEAVY THIN HAIR” and behind these 5words there are different tasks with different points. Students choose any of the word and finish the task. Part 7 Guessing Game Teacher guides students to describe their favorite star or best friend or favorite teacher according what we have learned today. Then let others guess who he/she is? For example: Describe: She is beautiful. She is of medium height. She is of medium build. She has long black hair. She wears glassesDo you know who she is?Guess: Is she ?Part 8 Homework & task paper Arise students interests Know the topic of this classLearn the new words and know how to use them.Work in pairs and make conversations Listen and finish 1bListen and answer the questions of 2a.Listen and fill in the table of 2b.Describe the three students according to 2b.Be willing to join the game and learn to know how to describe peoples looks.Do the challenge Do the guessing game: describe their favorite star or best friend or favorite teacher according what we have learned today. Then let others guess who he/she is?
