教学设计 外研版八年级英语(下)Module 4Unit 1 If you want to listen to music,press this button 市八中 安淑萍教学重点和难点重点:1通过谈论科学技术培养学生的听、说、读、写能力,掌握if引导的条件状语从句(1)的用法。难点:运用恰当词语写出某种设备的说明书。教材安排根据学生学习英语的特点和规律,我们把本模块划分为4课时:Period 1: Vocabulary and Listening &Pronunciation and SpeakingPeriod 2: Reading and Vocabulary & Learning to learnPeriod 3: Writing& Around the world &Module TaskPeriod 4: Language in use教学设计Title: Module 4 New technology Period 1: Vocabulary and Listening &Pronunciation and SpeakingTeaching Content: Vocabulary and Listening and Pronunciation and Speaking Teaching Aims and Demands:1. Language Knowledge Key vocabulary and phrases: press, button, instruction, video, copy, memory, Irish, lend, recorder, second, playback, lady, gentleman, video camera, turn on, come onKey structure: The first conditional clause(1). (重点) 2, Listening skill: To know how to use the video camera on a mobile phone and to operate a CD recorder from the listening material. (难点) 3. Speaking skill: To give instructions of using a piece of techonology.4. Attitudes: To use technology to solve some practical problems.Learning strategies:Bottom up approach and listening to the tape and do some exercises.Teaching Aids: Multi-Media (Tape recorder, video, OHP, handout)Teaching Procedures:Part I: Revision Task: Recall what we have learned in the last Module. Step one: Label the pictures with the phrases.(1). Read through the phrases in the box and have the Ss. Repeat them after you. (2).Ask them to label them in the pictures on the screen. (3).Make some sentences with the phrases. Ask students to speak out as many as they can.Step two: Revise verbs followed by v.-ing form or (to) +v.They stopped to listen, but there was no more sound. I saw the leaves falling.I saw the boy fall off the tree.I hear him cry in the next room.I hear him singing in the next room.Dont forget to give my regards to them. I forgot closing the door.I remember doing this exercise before. Remember to post the book for me. Ask students to speak out as many as they can. Part II: Lead in: Task 1: Introduce to them the new words.Step one: Introduce the new words of this unit. And list them on the board.Step two: Read after the teacher.Step three: Practise reading the words.Step four: Ask the students to look at the pictures about pieces of technology. Elicit what they can see. If there are any new words, add them to the list on the board.Step five: Tell the students the new uses of the objects we use in our daily life. Task 2: Match the words with the objects in the table.Step one: Read through the words with the whole class and have them repeat them chorally and individually.Step two: Ask the Ss to match the words with the objects individually.Step three: Call back the answers from the whole class. Practise reading the words.Part III: Listening(一) Task: Listen and say what is happening in Activity 1 on page26.Directions:Step one: We can ask the Ss some extra questions to lead them .eg.1.What has Betty got?2.Does she know how to use the video camera?3.Is she reading instructions?4.Does Tony know how to use it?Step two: Play the recording and have them listen to the recording and focus on the extra questions first time through.,Then Call back the answer from the whole class. Step three: Then listen again and say what is happening.Step four: Play the recording again for the Ss to check and consolidate.Step five: Do Activity 2 on page 26.(二) Task: To understand conversations.Step one: Ask the Ss to look at the questions in Activity 4 on page 27.Step two: Play the recording and have them listen.Step three: Play the recording again and have them answer the questions individually.Step four: Call back the answer from the whole class, having one student ask a question and another answer.(三)Task: Activity 5 on page 27. Step one: Have them read the passage and write notes individually in Activity 5.Step two: Have them check their answers with a partner Step three: Call back the answer in a whole- class setting.Step four: Play the recording again and have them check.(四)Task: Give instructions in Activities 6 on page 27. Step one: Have them do Activity 6 individually. Have them ask and answer about the tasks or problems in Activity 5 with a partnerStep two: Ask some pairs to act it out in front of the class.(五)Task: Listen and read: Step one: Play the recording and ask the Ss. to listen and read the conversation.Step two: Play the recording again and pause after each phrase, asking the Ss. to repeat chorally and individually.Step three: Put the Ss. into groups of 5 to practise the dialogue. Step four: They should repeat it several times, changing the roles ( Tony, Lingling, Daming ,Sally and Betty)each time.Step five: Explain some difficult sentences if necessary.Part IV: Pronunciation Task: Listen and repeat in Activity 7 Step one: Play the recording and ask the Ss. to listen and repeat in Activity 7.Step two: Ask the Ss to.Step three: Play it once more for the Ss to repeat chorally and individually. Part V: SpeakingTask: Say what the weather might or might not be like Step one: Ask the Ss to give instructions on how to use a piece of technology.
