Step II .Lead-in1.Talk about the different transportation tools with pictures. Teach the new words and ask students to read them.Step III .Presentation2.Section A 1aFirst ask students to look at the picture. And have the students make a list of how the students get to school in the morning. Write the phrases on the board.take the subway, walk, take the train, take the motorbike, ride the bike, take the taxi, take the bus, take the ship, etc. Lead the student to read the phrase for several times.3.1b Listening. Have the students listen to the recording, and write the numbers next to the correct students in the picture in 1a.Check the answer. 4. 1c Pair workAsk two students to read the dialogue in the speech bubbles to the class. A: How does Bob get to school?B: He takes the train.Use a list of the ways that students get to school, and ask students to practice the target language according to the chart.5. Use a picture that shows how someone get to school. Let the students practice the target language again. Lead in the new language: How long does it take? It takes minutes. Explain the sentence, and use the time schedules to help the students review the time and the numbers. Let the student practice the new language by asking and answering questions. 6.1c ListeningExplain the picture, have the student listen to the recording and finish 1c. Check the answers.7. 2d Pair workLead the students to read the conversation. Then have them make a conversation about how they get to school.A: How do you get to school?
