Teaching Steps:Step 1 Greeting Step 2 Lead-in 1. Show a picture about baby twins, and ask students to compare the two babies. (One baby is more outgoing than the other.) 2. Show the title of the lesson: Im more outgoing than my sister.Step 3 Show learning aims 1. Learn how to form adjective comparative degree2. Learn how to use adjective comparative degree to compare two personsStep 4 Learn by yourself 1. Give students several minutes to finish the exercises;2. Then check the answers.Exercises:. Show three pictures and ask students several questions, then get 3 groups of sentences: Pan Changjiang is short. Zeng Zhiwei is short, too.Pan Changjiang is shorter than Zeng Zhiwei. Yao Ming is tall. Jordan is tall, too.Yao Ming is taller than Jordan. Lily is heavy. Mary is heavy, too.Lily is heavier than Mary. Mary is thinner than Lily. 2. Give students some pictures to compare two persons by using the key sentence:“A + is + Adj. Comparative Degree+ than +B.”2. Lets chant! Step 7 Group work : In the group, choose 2 students as models, other students compare the models using different sentences.1. Give students two minutes to prepare it;2.
