Unit 3 How do you get to school?Section A(1a1c)教学设计讷河市和盛乡中心学校 郭美玲设计背景:本课的话题是学生们日常生活起居中熟悉的交通,所以学生们运用一般现在时就日常交通习惯问题展开口语交际活动。在这之前,学生已经学习过一般现在时,本课的学习是一般现在时学习的延伸。本课又是本单元的第一课时,学好本课将对整个单元的学习起着引领的作用,并能增强学习的自信心,激发学生继续参与学习的热情。 I. Teaching Aims: 1. Knowledge objects: a. Words and phrases: subway, train, by bus, bicycle, boat, car, by boat, etc. b. Key sentences: - How do you get to school? - I take the bus./I get to school by bus. 2. Ability objects: a. Lean to talk about how to get to places; b. To learn to use How questions, affirmative and negative statements. 3. Moral object: Make the students know each other well. II. Teaching difficult points: a. Talk about how to get to places b. To learn to use How questions, affirmative and negative statements III. Teaching Methods: Listening and speaking methods; Communicative approach; Pair work. IV. Teaching Aids: Power point V. Teaching Procedures Step 1 Warming up T: How is the weather? S: Its T: Do you like travelling? S: Yes, I do./No, I dont. Step 2 lead in T: Do you like travelling by car or by plane or by other transportation? What do you think of it? Is it cheap or expensive? Is it fast or slow? S: (通过师生自由问答,轻松自然地导入,让学生初步感知本课的主题与交通有关,引起学生的注意。) Step 3 Presentation a. Ask the students to look at powerpoint and teach the words of transportation. T: How many kinds of transportation can you get from the powerpoint? What are they? S: They are (以展示图片的方式让学生们记忆单词,学生印象会更加深刻。) b. Let the students to say more transportation freely, then show some pictures of some special transportation. T: Now we have known so many different means of transportation. Some are popular, but some are special. In different parts of the world, people may use different ways of transportation. (鼓励学生说出更多的交通词汇,教师在必要的情况下进行适当的补充,适时扩充学生的词汇量。同时也让学生们对交通工具有更全面的了解,熟悉一些地理人文景观,扩充语言素材。) c. Teach the sentence patterns; T: There are so many means of transportations around the world. What kind of transportation do you like to choose? How do you get to school/Shanghai/ Hangzhou/ Luqiao /Paris? I take the subway/ bus I ride my bike/walk. (引入本节课重点句型How do you get to ?) Step 4 Practice a. Ask the students to work in pairs. A: How do you get to school? B: I walk to school. I ride a bike to school. I take a bus/car/ to school. I take the subway/train to school. (适时进行对话练习,帮助学生掌握刚学过语言的表达方式,同时增进学生之间的了解。) b. Drills and practice Show some pictures and ask: How does he get to school? He takes the subway to school. How does she get to school? She takes the train to school. (这是读说任务,增加不同代词的练习,让学生在交际中注意到一般现在时的第三人称单数形式。考虑到学生们的出行方式大同小异,故用图片介绍乘坐地铁、火车上学等大城市里常用的交通方式,以扩充口头操练的内容。) Step 5 Listening Ask the students to listen to the tape and finish exercise 1a. (练习完句型之后进行听力训练,复习所学知识) Step 6 Summary a. How do you get to ? I take the subway/ bus I ride my bike/walk. b. Take/ride the/a .to+地点=go to +地点+by. Walk to+地点=go to +on foot e.g. He often takes the subway to work.=He often goes to work by subway. 注意:当home, here, there 作地点时不要加to。 (通过让学生自我归纳总结,从中发现规律,培养学生的学习能力,提高学习效果。) Step 7Homework a. Make a new conversation about transportation. b. Make a report of how students around the world get to school. 教学反思:本课重在训练学生的听力和口语技能,讲究语音语调的正确性模仿
