Unit4 Dont eat in class.Section A(1a1c)Teaching aims:1、知识与技能:(1)Learn some new words: rule,arrive,hallway, dining hall ,fight.(2)Learn some sentences: Dont run in the hallways. We cant arrive late for class.We must be on time.(3)Learn how to talk about rules.(4)Master the use of imperative sentences.2、 过程与方法 (1)Listening and speaking practice. (2)Cooperative approach.3、 情感、态度与价值观 Get to know the importance of obeying the rules.Important and difficult points:1、 Master the key words and sentences.2、 Learn the use of verbs “can” and “must”.3、 Be able to use imperative sentences.Teaching preparation: PPTTeaching procedures: Step 1 Lead-in Take out something to eat ,then ask the students :Can we eat in class? Lead students to answer: No ,we cant. So dont eat in class. Take out an MP3 ,then ask the students :Can we listen to music in class?Lead students to answer: No ,we cant. So dont listen to music in class. As students ,we cant do these because these are our school rules .Now today we will learn how to talk about rules. Step 2 Presentation1、 Show some pictures through PPT . Then ask and answer between teacher and students.Let the students pay attention to Dont. Teach some new words and phrases: arrive late for., be on time, dining hall ,fight.2、 Have a discussion: Discussion how to use imperative sentences. Step 3 Practice1、 Look at the pictures ,what are they doing? Which rules are these students breaking? Now write the number of the rule next to the student. Then finish 1a.After a while ,check the answers .2、 Do a listening task. What rules are these students breaking? Write the numbers after the names. Then finish 1b.3、 Free talk: Talk something about the rules in our school. You can do like this: A:What are the rules in our school? B: Well, we cant .We must. Step 4 Consolidation1、 Watch a video,then talk something about your feeling. Ask students to pay attention to what happened in the library and what rules are the students breaking? Let the students know the importance of following the rules.2、 Competition: If you are our headteacher, what kind of rules will you make for ou class ? List them the more , the better. Step 5 SummaryIn this period ,we have learnt how to talk about rules at school.Through listening and speaking ,we practice using the imperative sentences .I believe all of you have done a good jib.
