So students have to follow the rules.Ability Aim: Get the students to know how to read and write rules in EnglishEmotional Aim: After learning this lesson, students will be able to know the important of rules and follow the rules学习重难点Teaching Key Points: Talk about the rulesTeaching Difficult Points: Some points about the imperative sentence教学过程设计(教案)Step1: Warming-up and Revision1. I will have a free talk before the class, I will ask “What are the rules in your family?”. and ask students to use“I can/I cant.I must/have to.”to talk about the rules. Then I will show some pictures of family rules to attract students to say more.2. I will say: There are many rules in your family. Do you like the them? Student will say: No.“So sometimes we will be unhappy about the rules, so when you are unhappy about something, who do you like to talk to?”.And I will use my own example“I like to talk to my sister, we are sisters, and we are also friends, so how about you?”to let students talk about themselves.Step2:Pre-reading1. I will ask students to open the books and turn to page 23,then show a picture of a girl and let students look at the picture and the letters to answer some questions: Who is she? Where does she come from? Is she happy or unhappy? When she is unhappy, who does she like to talk to?Step3:While-reading1. I will ask students to read the passage quickly and answer two questions: Q1:Is Molly Brown happy? Why or why not? Q2:How does Molly feel about the rules?(Explain the new wordfeel) Then I will check the answer. And ask student tell me “How do you know?” Read the sentences of the answer. Then ask them pay attention to the topic sentence: There are too many rules!2. I will say“There are so many rules make Molly unhappy, so Lets see what are the rules”,so now you should read this letter carefully and use pencils to underline the rules for Molly, I will give you a few minutes” Pay attention to the imperative sentences and the sentences with have to or must.(Explain the new words and write on the blackboard) 3. List the rules for Molly at home, ask students read them together, and ask the student about their feel. Then I will say: We feel tired, Molly is tired too, so she writes a letter to Dr. Know to ask for help.4. Before read the letter from Dr. Know to Molly, I will let students think about: If youre Dr. Know, what suggestions would you like to give Molly Brown. Ask some students to share with class.5. Then ask students to read the letter loudly by themselves, and explain the last two sentences.Step4:Post-reading1. Finish exercise 2c,then check the answer(Explain: Follow the rules)2. Discussion: If you have a chance to make rules for your parents, what would you like to make? Ask students work in groups of four and give some suggestions to parents.
