Unit5 What were you doing when the rainstorm came?Section A(3a-3c) 教学设计青海油田二中 王敏本节课选自新人教版八年级下册第五单元的Section A部分,本部分内容主要围绕过去发生的事情展开,集中感悟和学习过去进行时态和when/while从句的用法。本节课是本单元的第二课时,在学习一篇描述暴风雨前后情况的文章后,通过练习,提高阅读能力;并加深对语法知识的理解。课题Unit 5 What were you doing when the rainstorm came?Section A(3a-3c)备课人课型时间王 敏新授课2017-4-10三维目标知识与能力1. 能正确使用beat, rise, against, fall asleep, die down, break.apart, bring.closer.2. 理解含有when/while的句型。3. 理解文章大意。4. 培养学生的阅读技能。过程与方法1. 多媒体辅助教学直观、形象,激发学生学习兴趣。2. 通过思维导图帮助学生梳理文章、理解文章内容。3. 采用任务型模式,通过学生独立学习、小组合作学习等方式促进教学。情感态度与价值观鼓励学生能够面对问题、解决问题。教学重点文章的整体理解。When/while从句的理解。教学难点能尝试正确使用when/while从句。教学步骤教师活动学生活动Step IGreet1. Greet the students. 2. ReviewShow some pictures to them.Eg: The girl was doing her homework when the rainstorm came.Greet the teacher.Look at the pictures and make sentences with when.设计意图:本部分主要是让学生复习新知识-过去进行时的结构,练习使用when的从句,为后续学习做好铺垫。Step IILead in 1.Show teaching aims.2.Know some key wordsStorm, wind, report, wood, flashlight, match.Let students know what we will learn today.Students read the new words after the teacher.设计意图:展示教学目标,让学生了解本节课的学习内容,便于学生们更好的理解课程。熟悉一些新单词,为阅读突破障碍。Step IIIReading comprehension1. Before readingShow some pictures about rainstorm.Imagine the situation after the rainstorm.2. While reading1)Read the whole passage.2)Let students read each part and answer two questions:-What was the weather like?-What were the family doing?Check the answersBefore storm:Strong wind/black cloudsDad was putting pieces of woods over the windows.Mom was making sure the flashlight and radio were working.During storm:Rain beat heavily against the windowsBen was helping mom make dinner.The family were trying to play a card game.After storm:The wind was dying down.The sun was rising.They helped clean up the neighborhood together.3)Learn when/while clauseThen let them learn to use.Complete the sentences using the information from the passage.Check out.4)Summary the passage.Before - keep saferDuring - keep calmerAfter - keep closer3. After readingWhen we met some bad weather or some difficulties, what should we do?Answer and show them.Discuss what you will do when the rainstorm comes?Look through the passage and try to divide the passage into three parts.Students read carefully and find out the answers to the questions.Students read the passage quickly and find out the sentences with when/while.They can discuss when they cant work out.Let students think of why the family did all things.Students discuss and think up some good ideas.设计意图:本部分旨在通过阅读训练培养学生阅读理解的能力,学会一种阅读的策略。同时以课文为载体,让学生掌握重点知识,提高语言的综合运用能力。首先,通过复习和导入环节让学生感知暴风雨的影响,使学生能更好的理解文章。其次,通过略读、细读、总结等环节的阅读,学生对文章的整体含义以及细节有了很清晰的了解,并能很容易归纳出中心。然后,通过学生的讨论和书写练习,可以较好的完成本节课的教学目标。学生在循序渐进的过程中学到知识并灵活应用从而突破重点和难点。Step IV Homework1.Discuss and write:Although the storm broke many things apart, it brought families and neighbors closer together.“ What other things can bring people closer together? How can we help each other in times of difficulty?2.Read the passage and try to recite it.Students can talk about and write some sentences about the two questions.They could surf the Internet and get some help.设计意图; 作业是课堂教学中必不可少的部分,它可以帮助学生及时巩固本课所学,可以帮助教师及时调节自己的教学进度情况,及时帮助有问题的学生。St
