Sometimes tests can even help us to knowourselves - to know our strengths as well as weaknesses. Unfortunately the actual purpose of examsand tests has long been ignored. All our attention goes to grades and scores. No one gives a thought tothe nature and quality of what is taught. It is difficult to prevent or reverse this trend of“teaching to the test.” But sensitive and creativestudents can still make the best of the tests theyare taking. Benjamin Franklin says, “Tell me and Iforget. Teach me and I remember.
