Unit 6Im going to study computer science. (Section A 1a-1c)(新兴初中 汤晓彬)教材分析本单元通过复习和学习一些关于职业名称的词汇,同时学习be going to 结构谈论职业理想及打算怎样做来实现目标。这是本单元的第一课时也是重点课时。Teaching Goals1.Knowledge goalStudents can master key vocabulary and target language structures.2.Ability goal Students can talk about their dream jobs and future plans using be going to. 3.Moral goal Students will realize the importance of dreams and determine to work hard to realize their dreams.Teaching Focus and Difficulty 1.Teaching focus Enable the Ss to understand be going to .2. Teaching difficulty Students learn to express future intentions by using “be going to”.Teaching Approaches: (1) Situation teaching method (2) Task-based teaching methodTeaching Aids: CAITeaching Procedures:Step 1. Warming-upGreet Ss and lead them into the class by showing a ticket to Dream Theater.Step 2.Vocabulary studyShow a picture of Mo Yan to talk about different jobs. Do ask-answer practice, like What does he do? He is a writer. A competition is held to check Ss memory and understanding.Step 3. PresentationWatch a short video first. Present target structure, like How is he going to do that? Hes going to practice writing. Guide Ss to talk about different ways to realize their dreams.Step 4.ListeningPlay the recording twice for the Ss to finish the tasks in 1b.Check the answers with the class.Step 5. PracticeWork in pairs to practice dialogues according to the completed chart given.Step 6. ProductionWork in groups. Focus Ss attention on the chart first. Get them to do a survey about their dreams. Each group should give a report according to the survey, following the sample given.Invite several Ss to share their work with the class.Step 7. Summary 1. Review “be going to ” 2.
