“先学后教,当堂训练”模式下初中英语阅读教学策略研究 Unit 9 Do you know when basketball was invented? 授课人: 尚韬一、Teaching aims:1、Knowledge aim1)掌握大课文中的一些单词和短语。2)理解一些重要句子。3)了解篮球发展的历史和受欢迎的程度。4)让学生用mind-map 来复述课文,怎样用mind-map归纳出课文主要内容。2、Ability aim1)能在文中理解生词的含义。2)能掌握所给材料准确提取所需信息来完成阅读任务。3)掌握泛读、细读的方法,提高阅读速度和效率。3、Moral aim作为青少年,应该经常参加锻炼,增强体质,才能更好地学习。二、Teaching important point:掌握课文,理解课文大意,了解篮球的历史及受欢迎程度。三、 Teaching difficult point:掌握泛读、细读的方法,提高阅读速度和效率。四、Teaching method:运用学生自主探究,小组合作的方法.先学后教5、 Teaching procedures:Pre-reading1、Show the studying aims 1)掌握大课文中的一些单词和短语。 2)理解一些重要句子。 3)了解篮球发展的历史和受欢迎的程度。 4)让学生用mind-map 来复述课文,怎样用mind-map归纳出课文主要内容。2、Lead -in1、Answer some questions:1)Do you like sports?2) What sports do you like ?3) Do you like playing basketball?4) Who is your favorite basketball player?5) Do you know the equipment of basketball ?展示并掌握所需单词(about the equipment of basketball)While-reading Fast reading1Read quickly and answer:Do you know who invented basketball ?(方法:根据每个段落的第一句话来判断此段落是否跟问题有关,是否需要关注。也就是采用略读、跳读的方法快速解决问题。)2Scan readingRead quickly and tell “T” or “F”(方法:采用找每句话中的关键词,从而在原文中找出答案例如:The aim of basketball is for players to move one end of the court.关键词为The aim of basketball.)1) The aim of basketball is for players to move one end of the court. ( )4) James Naismith was born in 1891.( )3、Careful reading(按段落顺序,一段一段读,了解每一段内容,并对每个段落都做出不同的要求。)Paragraph1:Read paragraph 1 and fill in the form. Basketball has also become a more popular sport for people to watch, and many young people _ becoming famous basketball players.Post-reading1、拓展T:Please read again silently and complete the mind- map for five minutes .Then check the answer.T:Let us have a competition between the boys and the girls .say something about basketball.2、Writing以“How was ballpen invented?”为题写一篇短文。可参考下列提示:who John Loud, an American tanner when in 1888 advantages help write faster, make life easierdisadvantages need relining, sometimes leakwhere to be used many fields price low changes become smaller and lighter (先学生自己写,然后进行小组交流,最后每组找一人交流。)五、Homework:仿照今天所学的大课文,写一篇短文:When was football invented?教学反思 这是九年级Unit 9 的阅读课。Do you know when basketball was invented ?本节课我运用“先学后教,当堂训练”,小组合作的教学方法.文章内有许多含被动语态的句子。通过教学,要使学生进一步理解被动结构的句子;使学生了解并运用“脑中构图”这一阅读技巧,了解文章大意,并能谈论篮球运动的起源、目的、发展历史以及该运动的部分术语;掌握重点词语。 阅读课在英语教学过程中既是教学重点,也是教学难点。而本文章词汇量大,句子结构复杂,这无疑给课堂教学增加不少难度。如何在有限的课堂时间内既使学生理解文章,帮助他们掌握阅读技巧,提高阅读能力,提升阅读质量,又能处理基础知识与学生综合能力的培养间的关系成为我们英语教师关注的、又十分棘手的问题。 针对本课特点,我在备课到过程中充分考虑学生的实际水平,根据学生的能力设计有效的教学活动,以使教学效果达到最优。首先以猜一发明物为切入口,复习已学的有关被动语态句式,同时引出本课话题basketball。接着,让学生简单讨论几种运动在国内的普及程度,并运用.is played / enjoyed by the first most most people我利用媒体抛出两个问题:What equipment is needed when you play basketball ? Can you say something in English about how basketball is played ? 以呈现生词,.扫除学生在阅读文章时的障碍.然后抛出关键问题:Do you know when basketball was invented ? 引导学生进行快速阅读,并作出简单判断。以上这些环节受到较好的教学效果。 然而,详读这一环节的Task 4:Read and Complete the mind-
