Lesson Plan Oxford Phonics World Unit 3 en 【Class analysis】Students have learnt the Alphabet which focused on the 26 letters of the English alphabet. They have a comprehensive understanding of written form and sound of each letter.【Teaching material analysis】Short Vowels, builds on the alphabet learned in Level 1 by introducing students to the consepts of short vowels and blending letters together to create words.【Objectives】: Language objectives:1. Learn /en/ /end/ /ent/ and en, end, ent2. Learn three new key words: hen, pen, ten3. Understand the supplementary words: bend, send, mend,kent, bent, went,sent. Ability objectives:Ss can use phonics method to read new words and the story The Hen in a Pen Emotional objectives:Make Ss know that solidarity is very important and interesting.【Teaching tools】:PPT, chalk, word cards, computer, scoreboard【Procedure】:StepTeaching ActivitiesLearning ActivitiesAimStep 1:Sing & dance : ABC songT: Lets sing the ABC song together.Guide students sing and dance in good order.Ss:Sing and dance.Motivate the students with the total Physical Response Method.Step 2: Greeting and self introduction1. Greet to the SsT: Good afternoon, students.2. T: Whose turn today? Come here and try.1. Ss: Good afternoon.2. Ss: introduce themselvesEncourage students to introduce themselves confidently and make use of their knowledgeStep 3: Free talk1. Daily English to review week date and days of the week.T: Whats the week? Whats the date?What day is it today?Hows the weather?2. Class rules1. Talk with teacherSs: Today is Week 12. Its May 13th.
