Section B (1a-1e).Teaching aims and demands:1.Knowledge and skills(1) Be able to master the new words and phrases: astronaut, apartment,rocket ,space,space station, computer programmer.(2) To master the use of future tense with will.(3) Improve students listening and communicative skills .(4) Learn to talk about future with will or be going to2.Emotion ,attitude and values:Stimulate the students motivation by describing what will happen in the future.Teaching important points :(1) words and expressionsastronaut ,apartment,rocket ,space ,space station, computer programmer.(2) To talk about how to use the future indefinite tense .Teaching difficult points.1. Practise using the target language .2. How to make predictions.Teaching aids a recorder , a USB , a computer, some cards .Teaching approachesSituational teaching method,Discovery teaching method.Cooperative teaching method.Type of lesson : New lesson.Teaching proceduresStep 1.Warm up and lead in1.Greet the students as usual.2.Listen and sing a song named共同的家园.Show The earth is our home, We have only one earth.We shoud love our home and protect our earth well .Only this can we make our world more beautiful.Step 2.Presentation:Wordstorming (Tteacher Sstudent) Show some picures to teach the new words:astronaut ,house ,apartment,train,rocket,space station,computer programmer.(2) Get the students to divide the words into different sorts.Jobs:astronaut,computer programmerTransportation:train, rocketPlace to live:house ,apartment,space station(3) Show other pictures and have them classify them.Finish1a.(4)Show a picture.This is a piture of house when I was young. T:What did I do 30 years ago? Ss:Maybe you were a student.T:Yes.I was a student.T:Where did I live? Can you guess?Ss:This house.T:Yes ,I lived in the house like this in the village.At that time ,we were very poorT:How did I go to school?Ss:Maybe you went to school by bike.T:I often went to school on foot.I seldom rode a bike .But now I have a favorite job.I am a teacher .I live in a town house in Duazhuang Town.I often go to school by motorbike.I have a dream.In the future ,I will be a tour guide in Shanghai.I will live in an apartment building.I will drive my car to work.I think its exciting,do you think so?Can you tell me your life 10 years ago,at present and in the future?Step 3. Practice. Listening. Finish1c,1d.1.Get the students to scan the pictures.What can you see in the pictures?Ss may answer : I can see a boys photo; I can see a rocket and an astronaut;I can see some people having a party.2.Now we will listen to Alexis and Joe.Number the pictures.The answers are :2,3,1.3.Listen again.Fill in the blanks with the correct verbs in the box.The teacher plays the recording more than once if necessary stop it after key lines.After listening,ask students to give their answers.Check the answers together.Step5.Consolidation 1. Get some students to act out the dialogues in pairs.2. Get the students to talk about Joes life now,10 years ago and in10 years .3. Get some students to talk about their life 10 years ago,now,in 10 years.Step 6.SummarySum up jobs,transportation,places to live .Remember the past,based on present,look forward to the future.What will your life be like in the future ?I hope you have good futures!Step 7.Homework1.
