His name is Tom. Look! This is Tom. Whats he like? Can you find some special things about him?Students look at this picture carefully and answer the questions.Ss: T: There is a dog on Toms head. (The teacher shows a card with the word “dog” on it.) Toms head is an orange. (The teacher shows a card with the word “orange” on it.) Toms body is a box. (The teacher shows two cards with the words “body” and “box” on them.)Please read after me, dog, orange, box, body. Can you find which letter sounds the same? Ss: Letter “o”.T: Yes, great!2. Read and summarize.The teacher teaches students to read the four words.T: dog, /d/-/-/g/, /dg/. How many sounds do you hear in the word “dog”? Ss: Three.T: What are they? Ss: /d/, /, /g/.(orange, box和body的教法同上)The teacher sums up the pronunciation rules with students.Step 3: Practice1. Listen, repeat and chant. (课件出示:Listen, repeat and chant的视频)Students listen to the recording three times and chant with it.2. Read, listen and number.Students listen to the recording and number the words.3. Listen and write.(1) Lead students to observe the writing of the words.(2) Students finish the writing task in the book.Step 4: Consolidation & Extension1. Game 1: Clap hands.Rules: The teacher reads the words “box, dog, body, orange, doll, mom, on”. Students clap their hands according to the number of the phonemes.T: For example: box. (Students should clap hands three times.)2. Game 2: Can you read it?Rules: Students try to make more words and read them aloud.3 Show a poem. (If time
