And find a partner, then make a dialog with your partner, you must perform it on next class.Teaching ProceduresStep1. Warming up (3-4minutes)(1) Through greeting and ask question: Good morning/afternoon, welcome back to school. “Did you have a good time?”, “Where did you go on holiday?”, or “Where are you from?” “Could you tell me something about the places that you visited?” to elicit students ideas and thoughts about places,so that students can be led into the theme of the lesson.(2) In China, there are quite a few places of interest. For example, the Great Wall, West Lake ,Taiwan Island, Mount Tai and so on. Do you know any places of interest in China?(3) Today we will look at a text “Could you tell me something about the places that you visited?” It is about places of interest in China.(4) Then show them some pictures about places of interest in China. Asking the question “could you tell me where it is?”Sept 2. Vocabulary learning (5minutes)Write the new words on the right of blackboard and ask students to find out them in the text. If they dont understand some of them, present the meaning of the new words and use these words based on the context. These new words including: attract, places of interest,tourists, guide, introduce, fetch, province.(1) First I show a picture of tourist to them, then leading them to read and understand the meaning of the tourists, next, I will present the“guide and places of interest” in same way. And by comparison with“ take and bring”, let them to understand “fetch” . For the words “attract, introduce and province”, I will give them the Chinese meaning of these words, In order to let them understand well, give some example. If necessary. (1) Vocabulary learning strategies:1) Identify the meaning from the context;2) Combine with other words;3) Combine with the known knowledge;Through this new words study, students can understand the test and can remember some of them.Step3. Text discourse analysis (10minutes) Let students look at the passage.(1) Get students to work alone. Encourage them understand the dialog at page 1. Offer help if necessary. This activity aims to train students independent reading ability.(2) Ask this question “Which places of interest did Mrs.Green tell her daughter?”, “Which is the longest river and the second longest river in China?” The question ones correct answer is Mount Tai, Mount Huang, Mount Song and Mount Emei. The question twos correct answer is the Yangtze River and the Yellow River. Ask two or more students to answer the question, then ask “Do you agree with her or him?” If the answer is “yes” go on next step, if the answer is “no”, ask student come back to text to find correct answer. This activity aims to check students whether they understand the text or not.(3) Get students to fill out the list according to 1a.(4) Let students listen to the tape. Remain them of the tune of question. Then let students to fill out the list according to 1a.Step4. Role performance (5minutes) Let students to work in group 2, one of them play Mrs.Green, another play Susanna, the two students need to read the dialog in his or her place one by one. This activity aims to train students listening and their pronunciationStep5. Grammar learning (12minutes)(1) Ask students to look at the principle in the text. Remind them of the use of Attributive Clause which is led by that or which. Use a chart to present this grammar principle, such as,That personWho is the man that is reading a book over there? (Subject)The girl (that) saw yesterday is Jims sister. (Object)somethingIt is Mount Tai that lies in Shandong province.(Subject)That is the most interesting story (that) I had ever of. (Object) whichsomethingIt is a book which introduces China in detail. (Subject)This is the place (which) he would like to visit. (Object)WhichsomethingThe house in which Lu Xun once lived is now the Lu Xun Museum. (Object)(2) Let students work in groups of two. And do the exercise at page 2 on the students textbook. This activity aims to get students to understand what is Attributive Clause and can use which or that as relative preposition.A) I will take out a picture of Mount Tai. Then say “Look, how beautiful place ! Do you know where is it” remind them of the use of attributive clause.“It is Mount Tai that/which lies in Shandong Province. ”B) Take out the picture of Mount Heng, Mount Song , Mount Hua , Let the work in groups of two, this control activity aims to train the principle of attributive clause.Step6. Consolidation (3munites) Ask one students to write new words on the blackboard. I will not read the words d
