Module 3 Sporting life Unit 1 When will the match be held?课型:听说课【学习目标】1.知识目标:掌握下列重点单词和词组的意思及用法 allow, defeat, stand for, against, tough, hold, so .that, try to do 2. 能力目标:掌握一般过去时和一般将来时的被动语态。3.情感目标: 培养学生热爱体育, 强身健体,报效祖国。【教学重难点】: 1.重点: 1)重点句式:如:Whos it against?You were defeated last time.What was the score? Its going to be a tough match.I wasnt chosen this time.You wont be allowed to watch with our fans if thats what you think.Well be asked to play in the Olympic Games.2)一般过去时和一般将来时中各种句式的被动语态形式。2.难点:一般过去时和一般将来的被动语态的运用。【教学过程】课前朗读: 朗读sporting, allow, defeat, season, stand for, against, tough. 根据音标读出单词并了解汉语意思,养成学生自主学习词汇的习惯,促使学生迅速进入学习状态。检查词汇预习:a.取学生结对、小组互查等形式来检查学生对词汇的预习情况。b.朗读单词,注意发音。一、情境导入教师可以让学生谈论本学校的篮球比赛,引导学生预测胜负的问题,以此为情境,让学生认识并继续学习一般过去时和一般将来时的被动语态。二、小听力(自主完成,合作释疑) 听Activity 2 ,将单词与对话搭配,使单词得以更好地应用。三、大听力 多层听1. 听activity 3判断下列句子的正与误。a.Betty is going to write a report for New Standard. ( )b.Daming wasnt chosen this time. ( )c.Tony looks tired because he is training for a basketball competition. ( )2. 听activity3, 填写activity 4的表格。3. Check the answers and correct.四、理解意思小组间合作解决activity 3中不懂的地方,教师适时点拨。五、突破重点与难点(一)对重点内容和疑难问题进行合作探究学习。1.against 介词,“与相对,与对抗”其后接名词、代词、动名词。如:Are you for or against my plan? 你是赞成还是反对我的计划?自主造句:_ 另外介词against 常用于fight .play等动词后,表示“反对、反抗”。如:People began to fight bravely against the enemy. 人们开始同敌人英勇斗争。自主造句:_2. stand for 表示“象征,代表”,不能用于进行时。如:What does the “WTO” stand for? WTO代表什么?自主造句:_3You were defeated last time. 上次你们被打败了。defeat 意为“打败”,后面常接某人做宾语。win 意为“战胜”,后面常接某物(如比赛、战斗、奖品)做宾语自主造句:_ _4. allow 意为“允许”(1)其后可以直接接名词代词或名词从句作宾语。如: My parents dont allow smoking in the room.自主造句:_(2) allow sb (not) to do sth. 意为“允许某人做某事”如:Our teacher allows us to go out for a walk after supper. 老师允许我们晚饭后出去散步。自主造句:_5. I think were so good that well be asked to play in the Olympic Games. 句中运用了“so+形容词(原级)+that”的结构,that 后面跟结果状语从句,表示“如此以至于”。实际应用中,so 后面也可以使用副词的原级形式。如:The dog runs so fast that I cant catch it. 那只狗跑得如此快,我抓不住它。自主造句:_6.小组自我补充(二)自主完成后,小组合作,交流学习成果,共同释疑。(三)让学生疯狂朗读以上重点知识。六、归纳短语1.通过对对话的学习,让学生归纳本课的短语,可以小组合作,然后通过展示呈现出一个小组的成果,然后其他小组补充完善。 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _七、诵读积累(一)跟录音机朗读对话,模仿语音语调。(二)读熟对话(三)读烂短语(四)读烂下列重点句子1.
