9A Unit 6 Reading Murder in Valley Town 教学设计_田娟一、教学背景:1学情分析 九年级学生已经具有一定的英语知识储备和语言表达能力,同时有了第一节课的铺垫,学生对侦探故事有浓厚的学习兴趣及较强的探索欲望,另外初中生有强烈的表现欲,能主动练习和实践。学生能够借助网络视频,调动学生注意力,通过自主、合作、探究完成学习任务。可能存在的困难, 词汇量大; 学生在了解有些句型时,需要老师的帮助。2学科:初中英语;3课时:牛津英语9A第六单元第二课时;4学生课前准备情况:通过读福尔摩斯或柯南等侦探小说,了解侦探断案的程序,学习他们严谨、细致的作风,注重依据细节寻找线索,做一个守法公民;预习课文的词汇,根据音标读生词,在课前预习题的引导下,默读课文了解文章的大意。二、教学课题: 9A Unit6 Reading 三、 教学目标:通过对本篇阅读课的学习,发展学生的:1知识目标:(1)四会的单词:body ,Victim , attack , heavily ,death ,struggle ,bright , enemy ,crime , charge , several ,bleed 三会的单词:doorway ,confirm, particularly ,evidence , obviously , fingerprint ,clue , guilty system ,witness ,breathe , arrest ,etc.(2)短语:see sb doing sth , take place ,something unusual , be interested in doing sth ,be attacked with a knife ,bleed to death ,as a result , put up a good fight ,be guilty of , in the past , be charged with ,break into ,so far ,breathe heavily, offer a reward , lead to .(3)重要句型:He was last seen leaving his office in New Town at about 7p.m. Detective Lu said that the victim was attacked with a knife and bled to death .He was charged with breaking into several computer systems over the last year.2能力目标:(1)使学生在阅读中锻炼猜词的能力。 (2)运用所学生词理解文章的大意。(3)通过阅读,发挥想像,能够模仿课文进行写作。3情感目标:教育学生要学习公安民警依据蛛丝马迹进行推理判断的能力、缜密的思维方式及严谨的工作作风。四、教材分析:本课时是牛津译林版9A Unit Six第二课时,本课时是一节阅读课,题目是Murder in Valley Town,它是一篇关于谋杀案的新闻报道,也是牛津初中英语教材中唯一一篇案关于破案题材的文章,本文从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认知水平出发给学生提供了一个真实的学习环境,让学生能读懂侦探小说,了解侦探小说的几要素。本课的教学重点是本课词汇和重要句型。本课时教学难点是提高学生的阅读能力;通过阅读联系生活实际展开丰富的想象,写一篇侦探故事,从而培养学生的写作技巧。五、教学方法:英语新棵程标准要求学生掌握阅读技能,形成综合语言运用能力。通过对这一阅读课的教学,提高学生的阅读理解能力 ,培养学生推理和预测的能力。本课主要讲了一侦探故事,故事比较刺激,充满神秘的色彩,有吸引力,学生很想通过阅读揭开谜底。课前预习题,可以激发学生的学习兴趣;课堂上教师利用投影片呈现课文内容,教授生词,短语。遵循“在学中用,在用中学”的教学原则,如让学生复述课文,展开激烈的辩论,最后发挥丰富的进行写作。六、教学准备:录音机、投影仪、 多媒体课件七、教学过程:Step One Test before class 利用多媒体播放江苏卫视迷情追击探案俱乐部(/v_show/id_XMzgyNjA5NjEy.html)侦探王的画面,引入正题 Prepare lessons before class and find out the answers to the following questions 1. Who was killed ?2. When did the murder happen ?3. Where was the body found ?4. What was the weapon ?5. What did the suspect look like ?Ask individual student to answer these questions .The others listen and check .Step Two Presentation T: Which story do you like best ,funny stories ,detective stories or love stories ? S1:I like love stories because they usually have happy endings.S2:I like best because .T: Today we will learn a detective story ,Murder in Valley Town .The teacher retells the text and presents the key words and phrases with the help of pictures .(利用投影仪出示教学画面,并进行情节介绍。)Victim Age : 22 years old Occupation :a computer programmerPlace: Found:In the doorway of a clothes shop in Valley Town Murdering : The police are not sure about it .Time : Found : Last night Murdering : Between 9p.m. last night and 1a.m. this morning .Possible reasons : The victim was guilty of computer crimes in the past .He was charged with breaking into several computer systems over the last year The police The police have confirmed that the victim was a computer programmer .They are interested in hearing from anyone who saw anything unusual near Upper Street . They are checking the scene. Detective Lu said that the victim was attacked with a knife and bled to death .They will try their best to find the murderer . Suspect The only suspect is a short ,thin man who was seen running down Upper Street at 10 last night .He was breathing heavily and had blood on his shirt . The victims parentsThey have offered a reward of 50,000yuan for any information that leads to the arrest of the murderer .Step Three Practice 1. Play the tape ,have the students listen and repeat .Pay attention to the new words and phrases . Play the tape again if necessarily.2. Get the students practice reading by themselves. 3. Choose “ T”or “F” .(1)The victims body was found in Valley Town. (2)The victim sold computer programs.(3)The victim worked in New Town .(4)The victim was going to see his friends.(5)It is possible that there was more than one attacker.(6)The victim had lots of enemies. (7)The police have one suspect so far. (8)The suspect is a short, fat man.(9)The police have arrested the murderer. (10)The victims parents offered a reward for information .Give the students several minutes to do them in pairs , then ask ten pairs to do it. If it is false, correct it.4. Teacher : You can retell the text paraphrase of the passage according to the information on the blackboard .I will ask three to five students to retell the text .There is a competition between boys and girls .One ,two ,three !Step Four Discussing Divide the class into two groups , discuss whether the suspect is guilty or not .If you think the suspect is guilty ,why do you think so ? If you think the suspect is not guilty , why not ?播放辩论赛视频,引出讨论话题(/programs/view/_KBAh9nAvmU) 辩论赛正方 反方SA: I think the suspect is guilty because he was seen running down Upper Street at 10 last night .SB: Because he was breathing heavily and had blood on his shirt.SC: The suspect had evidence to prove that he was at another place at the time of the crime ,but he had no witness.S1: I think the suspect is not guilty because he could be a butcher (屠夫).S2: He might have an important thing to do and happen to walk past Upper Street at 10 last night .S3: He had blood on his shirt because he might have just taken a wounded man to hospital.Teacher sum up and judge which group is the winner .
