Language goals: (1) Master the new words and phrases: gold,emperor,underwear,silk,stupid,cheat (2)learn to tell stories.2. Ability goals Develop students listening and speaking skills.3. Moral goals Educate students to be honest.Teaching important points 1. Master the key words and phrases. 2.Further consolidate the target language through listening and speaking skills. Teaching difficult points Improve students listening and speaking skills.Teaching methods Employ task-based teaching mode,and get the student to further consolidate the target language by listening and speaking.Teaching aids An English textbook and a tape recorder.Teaching steps:Step1 Lead-in Ask “Do you like stories? What story do you like?” Ask students to discuss stories that they like.Then play the video about the emperors new clothes to lead the new Lesson.Step 2 Presentation .Teach Activity 1a.First ,invite a student to read the four words and explain their meanings.Then,ask students to look at the pictures in 1c to match letters with thesewords.Give them two minutes to do this work.Later,check the answers.Step 3 Practice Teach Activities1b and 1c. First ,lead students to have a quick look at the instructions to know what to do and how to do them. Show the pictures on the screen,prompt students to say what they can see in the pictures and what the story is about. Encourage students to speak as much as they can. After that,play the tape twice for them to listen,and then check the answers together.Step 4.Consolidation Teach Activity 1d. Invite some students tell the story.Call attention to the tense. Prompt other students to point out the mistakes and check them if any. Finally,choose a best work as the sample.Lead students to read it.Ask them to pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.Step 5 Summary In this class,we mainly did some listening and speaking drills to check our learning efficiency.The practice helped students improve their listening andspeaking skills.By doing this,we could make good use of the target language andwe could use it skillfully.Step 6 Homework 1.Finish the exercises in the workbook. 2.Preview the next period.
