Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show?Section A (1a-1c)建新中学 李思一、 教材内容分析本课是八年级上册第五单元Do you want to watch a game show? 的第一课时,主要是让学生学会谈论对不同电视节目或电影的看法和偏好。在内容上,本课是本单元的第一课时。对本单元起着一个引领的作用,激起学生对本单元的学习兴趣。因此,本课是本单元中比较最重要的一课。二、 学情分析八年级的学生无论是情感上还是身体上都发生了很大的变化。在这个时期,学生经过几年对英语的学习,已经积累一些词汇和句型,同时也具备了一定的听、说、读、写能力,而且对于新鲜、新颖的事物和话题也更感兴趣。而本课谈论的是各类电视节目,与他们的生活很贴近,比较容易吸引学生的学习兴趣和学习热情。三、 教学目标1.知识目标:约85%的学生能够掌握和熟练运用本课关于电视节目的单词和词组:sitcom, news, soap opera, mind, stand, talent show, sports show, talk show, game show 2.能力目标:能够利用本课重点句型谈论对不同电视节目的看法与偏好,并学会询问他人对某事物的观点并会正确表达自己的看法。 3.情感与价值观:培养学生的小组合作精神和创新精神。 四、教学重点和难点 1.教学重点:能够掌握和熟练运用本课关于电视节目的单词和词组:sitcom, news, soap opera, mind, stand, talent show, sports show, talk show, game show 2.教学难点:能够利用本课重点句型谈论对不同电视节目的看法与偏好,并学会询问他人对某事物的观点并会正确表达自己的看法。五、教学策略 根据以教师为主导,学生为主体的原则,本课我将以情景教学为主,让学生在情境中运用本课的词组及句型。同时利用小组竞争的方式充分调动学生学习的积极性和参与性,充分发挥学生的主体地位。六、教学方法 情景交际法七、教学辅助手段 多媒体 黑板 板擦 粉笔八、教学过程 Step1 lead in (2minutes) Ask students to think about the following questions, then answer them:1、Do you like watch TV?2、What kind of TV shows do you like best?This will help students have a free talk , and bring them to the situation of todays lesson. Step2 show the learning aims(1minuts) This will help students understand what they should master.Step3 Presentation(35minutes)First, Show some pictures about different kinds of TV shows, and learn the new words , then read them correctly. The pictures will help students learn the new words vividly,and they will also attract studentsattention. Secondly, play a guessing game to check students if they have master the words. This will make students more activity learn this lesson. Then, ask students to finish 1a individually: Match the TV shows with the pictures a-g. This will check the students the understanding of the words. Next, ask students to finish 1b:Listen and number the shows 1-4 in the order you hear them. This will help students more familiar to these words, and this will improve their listening skill. Next, ask students use the words to make up dialogues with the help of the structures as following in pairs, and then show them out: (1) A: What do you want to watch? B: I want to watch. (2) A: What does he /she want to watch? B: He /She wants to watch. (3) A: Do you like? B: Yes, he/she do. /No, he/she dont.(4) A: Does he/she like? B: Yes, I do ./No, I dont.This will help students use the words in their daily life correctly, and show their feelings to different TV shows. It will also help students practice their speaking skill and oral English. Next, show some pictures about talking the attitude towards different kinds of TV shows, and help students understand the how to express their like or dislike, and then ask students work in pairs to make up new dialogues about theirselves and then show them out. This will help students show their attitude towards different kinds of TV shows, and their oral English will be improved. Finally, ask students work in groups, and use what they have learned in todays class to make up new dialogues and then show them out. (This will help students to improve their thinking and speaking skills, and develop their spirit of creativity and team work. )Step4 Exercise(3minutes)(1)根据汉语意思写出相对应的短语谈话节目 肥皂剧 运动节目 游戏节目 才艺表演 情景喜剧 (2) What do you talk shows? 你认为访谈节目怎么样?
